Our 4th grader is taking on the trumpet! As for this ROWELL Bb trumpet, here are a few points to consider: Price: $ was quite affordable for a beginner trumpet. Professional-grade instruments can cost significantly more, often well into the hundreds or even thousands. Features: This trumpet set seems to have all the basics — hard case, 7C mouthpiece, cleaning kit, and gloves. The internet says these are important for a beginner to ensure the instrument stays in good condition. Materials: I'm no expert on the quality of the brass and build. For our beginner, it didn’t have to be top-notch, but it has held up well to regular use so far... (fingers crossed). Playability: Most important is that she finds it comfortable and easy to play. She's happy with it, so that's a strong sign it's meeting her needs. The wife and I feel like we got a good deal, especially for a beginner. The value it offers for the price, its completeness as a starter kit, and how well it meets our daughter's needs. Again, I'm no expert, but it DOES seem to be making her enthusiastic about learning music. That's worth a lot, don't you think? Highly Recommended! ... show more

When we got the trumpet the middle button was stuck down when you pressed it down I watched a video on how to adjust it correctly and now it works mint!color quality is spot on well worth the money
