Ok, so I'm not going to try to sell you on the whole essential oil = miracle medicine or whatever new agey thing the kids say these days. No, I'm just simply trying to tell you something about this essential oil as best as I can since you can't actually smell before you buy. So the Plant Therapy Germ Fighter is a blend of lemon, clove, eucalyptus, cinnamon and rosemary. And while that may be the same ingredient list you read on several other germ fighter/thieves oil blends but I have to say, I've tried a few other brands, and this one, well, they got it right. I'm not sure on the ratio of oils, but this is strongly cinnamon, however it does not overpower the other oils. It still has a citrus flavor and the clove is evident. There is a balanced amount of eucalyptus and rosemary. I don't know how else to say this but its very nice. Unless you hate cinnamon, then well, this is not for you. The positive reviews are true. For the first time in twelve years, my family of five had a fever-free winter. Coincidence? Maybe. The next winter was the same until the very end, and even there the kid didn't tell me they felt bad until late in the game. We also have reduced the incidence of the dreaded gastro sicknesses down from something-we-catch-when-its-going around to barely happening and lasting only a short morning if it does. Knock on wood!     • I use it as a mouth wash

I use this product as a mouth wash. Your mouth has the most bacteria in your body, so removing source of bacteria keeps you in good health. I add about five drops of Germ Fighter to a glass of water and gargle for a few minutes. If I wake up at night I rinse my mouth with it to avoid morning bad breath. It works. I no longer wake up with a foul morning breath. Bacteria is gone. It is especially important to me having several implants and crowns in my mouth. Two implants next to each other and two crowns do not provide for a natural narrow space between teeth, result- food gets stuck regularly in between teeth and creates unpleasant bacteria and odor. I am amazed at how effective this is. I have Eustachian Tube Dysfunction and lower immunity and get upper respiratory viruses very easily. My colds last for weeks, often becoming severe. I work with children so I'm continuously exposed to new colds and it's always been a losing battle UNTIL using this and Immune Aid (also by Plant Therapy). I diffuse Immune Aid regularly (twice a week or so) and when I feel a specific symptom coming on (sore throat usually) I diffuse Germ Fighter. The amazing thing is it actually works! I've been around multiple sick people and kids and stayed healthy, which NEVER EVER happened in the past. Germ Fighter has a pleasant cinnamon and clove scent, whereas Immune Aid is more citrus. This is an essential (no pun intended) item to have around, especially during the winter months when germs are rampant! My husband and I both use it all the time and especially when we are going out to places where there are crowds...grocery stores, weddings, holiday parties, airports, planes, just about any function or public place that may have "bugs"...colds, flu, etc. in the air and/or on public items we all have to touch! We have been using this for several years now and have managed to stay healthy...very minimal illnesses, if any, and if we do get a little "bug" it certainly doesn't last long! I've been buying this essential oil for several years now and I have not had a cold or the flu since I've started doing this. I used to get the flu every year and had a cold every other month during the fall and winter. I work around a lot of people and people are constantly getting sick and coughing, sneezing around me but I haven't caught a single ailment, thanks to GermFighter. My friend had told me about thieves oil and I went to Amazon and found this amazingly priced cost alternative. I've never used thieves oil so I can't tell you any differences but this stuff seriously works. In the past couple of years, I've felt colds coming on a couple of times and when this happens, I put it on my chest rather than my feet which does have an overwhelming scent so I still think it is better on my feet. In 12 hours, the feeling of getting a cold will pass... The only thing you should know is if you use it on your feet every day like me, it does dye the bottom of your feet yellow, a small price to pay for never getting sick!!!     • I hate mold and mildew scents

I hate mold and mildew scents, wet dog, musty smells and anything similar! I used this diluted down with just hot water in my carpet cleaner to attempt to tackle the dirty dog smell trapped in our carpets from previous tenants. I thoroughly cleaned these carpets 4 times prior over the last 2 years with minor improvements each time but could never get rid of that nasty lingering odor. With just this and water alone, not only is the carpet brighter, but the smell is completely gone! My house smells so crisp and clean! I also made a spray bottle with some drops added to treat my HEPA Pre-filter and A/C filter after washing and drying them... instantly destroyed the faint mildew scent that never seems to go away and that has been bothering me. I am totally in love with Plant Therapy and their products. I have used both Plant therapy and young living and honestly I love plant therapy a lot more than young living and since we live pay check to pay check I can easily afford the oils from plant therapy.
