Sturdy dog crate and looks great in our home. I did struggle a lot while building this bc all the screws look the same in the pictures and I may have gotten confused a lot but that could just be me. My corgi fits perfectly in this crate and is spacious enough for her to turn around and lay down. The revolving bowl is great for when I need to feed her so the baby can’t disturb her and the bone that locks the front of the doors is great for keeping baby out of the crate as well. The side door doesn’t have that extra protection so just beware of you have any young kids who like to mess with the locks. Built it myself. Was fairly easy. Got it because my vet suggested it since my dog is blind and he has a safe place for him to be that’s his own. I had to prop the door to stay open. I love the look of this wooden dog crate, It blends in nicely with the rest of our decor and furniture. The assembly of It wasn't too difficult either. My only complaint is, within a few days of my german shepherd puppy being crated for a few hours each day, she had chewed off an entire corner of the door. The wood isn't a solid wood more like a thicker particle board in some places of the crate. So I used this for a different purpose than probably most. Last month I lost my best friend of 18 years-My sweet dog Daphne. I couldn't bare to throw or give away her bed, or toys, etc. But also didn't want to just leave them out for my other animals or children to mess with, so I purchased this as a night stand to use next to my bed. I put her bed inside with her collar and leash laying on it surrounded by her favorite toys. I used the top to hold her box with her ashes and other mementos of her. I can't speak for escape or chew factor but it is a beautiful piece that was easy for me to put together, appears pretty durable and beautifully showcases the memories I have of her.
