    • Doesn’t work outside!
I bought those to put house numbers on vinyl siding, they are lightweight and it shouldn’t have been a problem. The siding was cleaned prior to it being applied and was clean and dry. Major fail. One of them fell off two days after it was put on, the sticky stuff just didn’t stick to the vinyl at all. One of them actually lasted two whole weeks before it fell down. I wish I could get a refund, thankfully, this wasn’t expensive, but it was still a total waste. Both of my money end of the time spent cutting it to the right size/shape, and having somebody climb a ladder to put it up. But I missed the return window or I absolutely would’ve returned the remainder. ... show more

Clearly inspired by nature (ever have a seed pod or burr attach to a wool sweater?), hook-and-loop strips are often the best way to secure one thing to another in a semi-permanent (but alterable) fashion. That’s why you see it on name tapes, tactical gear, picture hangers, and as a non-abrasive alternative to zip ties for securing wire bundles. This Phixbear product consists of 30 sets of hook-n-loop pairs, measuring 1.3 inches x 3.2 inches. The back of each piece (both the hook piece and the loop piece) are treated with an aggressive adhesive. Peel off the glue guard and stick a hook strip on item “A”, peel off the guard and stick a loop strip on item “B”, and then press the two items together. A and B are mated until you physically rip them apart. Add a few more pairs of hook-n-loop (to increase the total mating surface area) and you can create a bond that is extremely difficult to break. This item works as advertised, the adhesive back is aggressive, and the hook-n-loop materials grip and hold solidly. ... show more

    • Seems good but didn't work for me
This seems like a pretty good product, the adhesive seems to be pretty decent but they did not work on slightly textured walls. I used the whole pack to hold up some acoustic foam hexagons and after a while they all fell off. They just couldn't conform enough to stick to the slightly textured walls. Using them on a flat surface they did seem to stick better. I think 4/5 stars is a fair rating for these. ... show more

Got this to install black out curtains along our window seal as we live in Alaska. The summer light keeps us awake. This was easy to peel off the backing and install. The adhesive works pretty well so I suggest waiting a little while until you actually start using it for the adhesive to fully cure. The Velcro works great. ... show more

    • Worked better on smooth surface
For hanging things like hand tools or remotes on the wall, these should work fine. The hook and loop is fairly heavy duty and connects well. If needed, these can be cut to size with normal scissors. My only issue was with a non-flat surface. I attached the set to a component with a flat surface, and to the other side that had texture. I then clamped the two together and came back 48 hours later (they recommend at least 24 hours for a full bond). When I removed the clamp, the texture side popped off (there was a slight bind in the material, hence the need for this). In other locations where it was flat to flat, I haven't noticed an issue. This does concern me for the force of pulling the hook and loop apart (will it just tear off the patch?). I should note that I tore off a Velcro brand strip (that was eight years old and showing its age) to place this. It was still stuck tight in the same location. Again, I think if you have two clean, flat surfaces, this should work well. I would have liked a better adhesive to handle the rougher surface. ... show more
