It is compact and works great. I wore out my first Blu ray player. It would freeze up and skip. The next one I got was horrible. I had it only four months. It would not come on. I was never going to buy Blue Ray Discs or a player because I did buy into the hype that Blue Ray was better than any DVD movie or player! Then came along 4K or 4HD - whatever it is called, and the price of Blue Ray Discs and players dropped dramatically! This new format caused Disney to start releasing certain movies I wanted on Blue Ray only, but at much lower prices. I realized it was time to find a Blue Ray player! I have 3 VHS and DVD combo players, so I started a search for a DVD/Blue Ray combo player and Amazon popped up on my search engine and I found this combo DVD/Blue Ray player! What I like about this player, and is amazing, no separate compartments. Blue Rays and DVD's both play using the same disc player and you have the choice of several different movie formats that you can add with the right cable box, or your computer! Only one complaint, this player does not come with any type of TV, HDMI, or USB cable connections, and not mentioned in the description - so if you buy this make sure order or go buy a HDMI cable or whatever you are going to connect with this player to have on hand when this player arrives! I had to wait to use this player, until I received my HDMI cable which I also bought from Amazon! It's actually made in Philippines. Anything but China will do. Remote and menu actually simple. HDMI Integration with Samsung TV works great. TV turns on automatically and select blu-ray. Love simple products.

Looks sleek. WOrks great. Has a lot of features - but I find a lot of overlap with everything else having these features. Everything I hook to my TV, and even my TV, has YouTube! Still, it has handled every DVD I have thrown at it - or rather, have carefully inserted into its tray.

I bought this dvd player for my son earlier this year and it works perfectly. I've had no issues, came brand new in the box. Easy step up and everything. I had finally gotten around to buying one for myself a couple of weeks ago and I received a refurbished blue ray. It took me literally hours to get it to set up with my wifi. The youtube app was still logged in to SOMEONE ELSE'S account and the Vudu app still wont connect. When I opened the amazon box, I was met with a regular, unlabeled brown packaging box. The blue ray was inside wrapped in bubble wrap. When I watch youtube it plays one (maybe two videos) then it stops completely and i have to press play on each video afterwards. I emailed the retailer, never got a response. I'm disappointed and dissatisfied with the product I received the second time around. I was planning on buying one as a gift for a relative but I think I'll look elsewhere. ... show more
