I looked at my order and it showed a Lonpoon, not a sony, I never order a brand that is not well known and not sure how it was switched out. This is a really good player! It comes with all of the necessary connection cables! I pulled it out of the box and had it connected and turned on to play a movie within 15 minutes! A young person could have done it in 5 minutes! I found the remote to be very odd! Not like any of my others. It looks like a universal remote, not made specifically for this player. There isn’t even a play button! It took another 15 minutes of playing around to figure out how to start a movie! ... show more

This player works as you would expect. My only issue is that the DVD's will, but Blu-Ray will not play if the RCA connectors are used. It must be HDMI for Blu-Ray. Not a big deal but this should be made clear in the description. Yes I would purchase this again.

A nice unit for the money, the remote was a bit tricky but I taught myself how to use it fully without ever opening one page in the provided manual. Plays audio cd's perfectly an any dvd with ease it is a great reader. I like the bright digital read out on the front, easy to read, even from a distance. Highly recommended I will see how it holds up with a lot of use over time. ... show more

I m not pleased with thie blu ray player at all.. i plan on returning it just as soon a i can... all the cords are way to short, they will not reach my tv or the plug ins....my old one , the cords were quite long, if not too long, but at least i could plug them in... so this one is going back to you , not happy with this at all. can not use it.. ... show more
