The dome shape is clever allowing a larger crate to fit in my hatchback while still allowing ample head clearance. I ordered the Medium for our Golden's puppy months (see picture) and it's worked out so well that I just ordered a Large for his adult size. In our larger SUV, the crate did roll once, so we make sure to stabilize it on the long side. Our dog playfully chews the zipper when we zip him in and the zipper has stood up to that fine. Good for traveling but not as a crate for home use. The mesh door is too flimsy and can easily be ripped by a hyper dog. For the price, I’d rather have something that could be used for home and travel.

My 9-pound chihuahua recently had major surgery and has to be on strict crate rest for 5-8 weeks. We were told by the vet that she should be able to stand and turn around in the crate but not have enough room to walk around, and this is the perfect size for her. Some reviewers of various crates have mentioned that their dog could get out, or could destroy it; our girl has gently scratched at the screen door when she wants to get out but the door didn’t tear at all. This has worked well for us. It’s soft-sided, unlike a wire crate, so she can’t hurt herself when maneuvering in and out dragging her full-leg cast. The two zippered doors allow her to watch what’s going on (meaning she can keep track of what mom’s making in the kitchen!) and yet feel like she’s in her own little cave if she needs a break. We put a small dog bed in it because its floor isn’t at all cushy so it’s nice and cozy. This is NOT meant to be a dog carrier; it’s not sturdy enough. It’s portable enough that you can take it along on a getaway and set it up for your dog once at your destination (just don’t carry the dog in it!). For a dog who was never crate-trained, she’s taken well to it. If I could change one thing, there’d be a way for the door to stay open when unzipped. As it is now, the door frequently flops down and she thinks she can’t go in or out. We kind of push a bit of the door under the handle but it doesn’t always stay. Someone more handy than I could probably attach some velcro or a couple of snaps and problem solved. Still, five stars for me and our little dog too! ... show more
