Great Hip and Joint Support for My Dogs I've been using the PetNC Natural Care Hip and Joint Soft Chews for Dogs, and I'm very pleased with the results.     • A difference within 48 hours!
Edit 10/14/2020- We are still thrilled with this product. Berry BooDog thinks the supplements are delicious and she is enjoying obvious pain relief. We did experience a side effect, however. It WAS OUR OWN FAULT. But I wanted to give a warning to others to avoid making the mistake we made. After a couple of weeks I noticed something was off with The Boo. She seemed a bit sluggish and was frequently asking to go outside to do her business. Also, this hoggy doggy was turning her nose up at snacks! I did some fast research and it turns out she was constipated. We had given her too much of the supplement. It was pretty easy to forget this is a supplement and not a snack because she loves them so much. On the label is states you can start out at a certain dose but then lower it and we had not lowered it when we were supposed to. From my research I learned that, while it isn't terribly common, this sort of supplement can cause constipation with higher doses. I also learned that at her size we could give her stool softener. I paired that with foods that would help her to go and it passed quickly. Lesson learned. We were so excited to see her get some relief that we were not as careful as we should have been. As I said this was our own fault and not the fault of the product at all. This is a wonderful product to help with the pain and stiffness Berry has experienced as she has aged. We will continue to purchase this and provide it for her as it has really improved her quality of life. Original review: I am thrilled with this product. Our girl is getting up there and having some problems with pain and we could tell this because she struggled with the stairs. She also struggled getting into her favorite chair that's always been hers. I found this product by searching on Amazon and this is the 1st one I've tried. I expected maybe with see some relief for her after a month maybe a couple of weeks if we were lucky. I was surprised to see our girl coming up the steps much more quickly and seeming much happier within the 1st couple of days! I didn't mention anything and my husband commented on it independently. It's a hands down difference in speed and ability to maneuver that is unmistakable. She loves to eat these and to her they are like a treat when she comes in from outside, so I can give her *medicine* and it's also a yummy treat! These are very competitively priced compared to other products. We are delighted to have have something to helps her pain and stiffness that she also loves and that is very affordable.     • Made my dog sick
I don't often write reviews, and I hate to write negative ones, but I wanted to give a warning to other dog owners. I began giving this chew to my 8yo (estimated) rescue pup earlier this year. Within a month, she began getting sick every night, drinking more water than usual, getting up multiple times a night, etc. I thought it was moving stress, but the upset stomach, the morning lethargy (due to being up on and off all night), etc was still a problem even 3 months after moving and getting mostly settled. On one of our walks this week, I mentally traced back to when this started because we had tried acid reducing meds and nothing had changed. I realized it started within a couple of weeks of giving this supplement to her. That day, I stopped giving them to her, and for the first time in MONTHS, my dog is sleeping through the night with no upset stomach. I knew it wasn't something super major because she was mostly her normal self all day, it was nighttime that was the problem (she would get the zoomies still and everything, so she was mostly okay). I tried a ton of things before stopping this supplement and nothing worked until I stopped giving this to her. If your dog suddenly has upset stomach after giving them this, stop giving it to them and see if that's the problem. It was with our dog. I'm not sure if it's just her sensitive tummy or if there's something in the ingredients that isn't great for dogs, but either way, I just wanted to give a heads up to other dog owners in case you have a similar issue. ... show more
