  • Great replacement
Size: 12 Ounce (Pack of 1)
We have a small farm and two of our cats had litters within days of each other. Out of a dozen kittens, we had one survivor bc both of the mothers had rejected all of the kittens, apparently, at about 3 weeks old. This little guy was a fighter and while I waited for this KMR to come in the mail, I was feeding him raw egg yolk mixed with tuna water... He was trying to learn to actually eat and he was able to start taking in bits of tuna. But I knew I didn't have much time left bc he was so skinny & losing fur. This came in and I made it thick, almost a yogurt consistency, to help pack on the calories faster. He had already learned how to drink from a bowl, so I didn't have to bottle feed him. Within just a few days, you could no longer see any of his ribs or backbone, and he was starting to run around and play. Within a couple of weeks, his fur had completely grown back, he had such a fat little round belly that he had to run bow legged LOL. I didn't purchase the KMR for the weening stage, bc by this point he was trying to eat my chick's feed, so I had begun feeding him wet kitty chow and he seems to be fine. But I would recommend probably buying both, depending on your situation. ... show more

  • Best kitten milk replacement
Size: 1.75 Pound (Pack of 1)
This is the best product for nursing kittens. Easily digestible. Product mixes well in avoiding lumpy product. Price point to volume is great. Long lasting and excellent choice in nutrient supplement for kittens.

  • Excellent for cats of all ages and sizes if sick
Size: 6 Ounce (Pack of 1)
First off, I ordered this to nurse a baby bunny back to health. My one cat kind of scalped the baby bunny near his hind leg. He wasn't too interested in the whole scene but, we were able to get some mother cat milk jazz into "Jim," which we named said bunny. He was doing super well and then, boom, he died. Well, turned out my one cat, not the one who murdered Jim, but another, got pretty sick. About a month ago, he pulled out one of his toenails and the region became infected. We were treating him outwardly but not inwardly. I ended up getting some natural antibiotics here on Amazon. He seemed to be doing OK but suddenly was at death's door. Having worked in an animal hospital a thousand years ago, I was able to use some of the skills. I used this after all in order to get some liquids, fat and vitamins into the cat. This item, in conjunction with an animal nursing kit, the above-mentioned natural antibiotics, Benadyne, (spelling?), applied to the paw and baby food, saved the cat's life. We looked at the directions to see if grown cats could have this and it had instructions for cats that are 3 plus pounds. Plus, because it is NOT cow's milk, which is horrible for cats, contrary to popular belief, I felt confident in giving him some. He loved it and lapped it up wildly. I would recommend having some of this on hand for any cat owner just in case of sickness. It will not harm the cat and, since it's, in essence, powdered mama cat milk, it is good for the animal. Especially compared to that taboo cow milk I mentioned earlier, lol. Good price too and one can chose from different sizes, which is a bonus. I'm going to give Sly, the cat in question, some later, as it has been a while. He lost a bit of weight and this has the fat he needs and other goodies too. We are now just down to treating the paw with the stuff I can't spell, since his antibiotic run is over. I hope this long and boring review helps someone. ... show more

  • Best formula for kittens

  • Great for foster kittens
Size: 12 Ounce (Pack of 1)
This KMR is one of my preferred milk replacers to use with foster kittens. The price has gotten way too high though, so there’s a different brand I use more often now. I finally purchased this KMR at a decent price recently, but my order never arrived.

  • Abandoned Kittens Thrived on this Formla
Size: 5 Pound (Pack of 1)
The media could not be loaded. I fostered 3 abandoned kittens who were found in extremely hot weather. They were 2 weeks old and were very weak and dehydrated. I made a quick trip to our local feed store where the store personnel recommended KMR Milk Replacer above the other brands. I purchased a couple of canisters and a bottle and went back home and started feeding kittens. However, I quickly realized that what I purchased at the feed store was not going to last 3 hungry baby kittens very long. So, I ordered the 5 lbs bag of the KMR Milk Replacer since it saved money to buy that rather than the canisters. The video is of the one male kitten, Andy, having his dinner. I do not know whether that video will convince anyone to buy the KMR Milk Replacer, but I think there is no doubt Andy loved it, as did his two sisters. On the formula, all 3 kittens gained weight every day, which they were supposed to do. When it came time to wean them, I used the KMR formula mixed with their baby kitten canned food to make a slurry to introduce them to the texture of solid food. It worked like a charm. Two were weaned in one week. The smallest kitten said she did not want to adult, so she held out one more week on the bottle before she agreed to eat solid food. When the kittens left me at 9 weeks to go to their next foster family, they were healthy and active, with beautiful fur and sparkling eyes. The third picture is of little Andy the day after he and his sisters were found. The second is of the kittens at 7 weeks old (Andy is in in front, leaning against the stroller). Andy was adopted Thanksgiving 2019. One of the girls was adopted just after Christmas, and the other just after New Year’s Day. The powdered formula is really super easy to reconsitute - IF you have a blender bottle (Amazon). If you try to stir and mix the powdered formula in a bowl with water, it takes a long time to get all the lumps out. The blender bottle takes about 10 seconds. Note: The use-by date for the formula is 3 months - 6 months if kept in a freezer. ... show more
