He is 3 years old and in the last few months has started marking our house when we aren't home or while we sleep. I needed a solution quick! These are amazing! I only put them on him during the times he would normally mark. The first day when I took it off of him (he wore them twice that day) he had urinated in them. There was no leaking at all and they were easy to clean. Day 2, he peed once. Today, day 3 he hasn't tried marking at all and the belly bands have stayed clean and dry! Hoping these will stop him from wanting to mark altogether, but if not I'm really glad I found them to keep my house pee free!" • They are working well and we are pleased. If there is an issue for us
Size: Large (Pack of 3) Color: Natural
We bought the bands for our 12-year old Boxer (Butch), who can't bend his back legs and has lost control of his bladder. They are working well and we are pleased. If there is an issue for us, it is the size. When I ordered I didn't see XL so I bought L. They fit, but just barely. That said, I'm kind of afraid an XL will allow gaps. The only other issue I have faced is that on occasion, when he wakes from sleeping and I take them off so he can go outside, the urine is literally puddled and will spill if I don't hold both sides. I am wondering if the elastic is positioned so that it is blocking flow because it doesn't happen every time. But overall, the product is saving us loads of time and I think Butch is more comfortable too because he literally comes to me and stands very still to get his Belly Band before he lies down. They are extending the time we have with him, and since he helped us raise two kids, two kittens, and two puppies, we want to keep him comfortable and maintain his dignity for as long as possible...We love him! So Thank You! ... show more

  • Double doggies decided to start marking
Size: Large (Pack of 3) Color: Gentlemen
I love my dogs, but I hate that they have recently started marking my house. I've had them for 7.5 years since they were 6 months old) and they were neutered when I got them. They are male schnoodles who weigh 22 and 25 pounds each. Within the past year, they've started peeing, and I can't seem to figure out why. I decided to screw the "why" in the equation and just put a bandaid on the problem.... hence these diapers. For starters, I ordered the large. Rufus can attach the Velcro fully; Jonesy - who is a tad "bigger boned" - has to really stretch these diapers fully out. The Velcro seems strong and stays on fairly well. Did the diaper(s) ever "fall off"? Yes. But I was able to figure out that it was from them "helping" each other out of them (rigorous rolling on carpet with "pawing" by brother-dog). Yup. They really dislike them. I put them on and they got all dejected and embarrassed. I swear, their whole demeanor changed. But they need to suck it up.... you pee, you pay. So I deducted a star for the fact that my chubby 25 pound dog was bursting at the seams. Now on to absorbency. These are fluffy, thick diapers that seem to have a ton of absorbency. Ironically, the first day we got them, a MASSIVE rain storm hit. My boys HATE to go out in the rain. They fight us NOT to go outside. Soooooo, I decided to let them win this battle. The next morning, the rain stopped in the late morning. I took off the diapers and let them outside. Both diapers had pee, and one was rather significant. Amazingly, neither leaked!! The elastic gathering worked plus they really seemed waterproof. Score one for me!! Now came the dreaded cleaning of the diapers. I will preface this by saying that when this issue first started a year ago, I bought belly bands that you placed a sanitary napkin inside to avoid the dreaded clean up. Worst purchase ever. Those pads never stayed in place. I'd find Depends pads all over my house (plus the Velcro fastener was tiny and didn't seal well). Not to mention tat I had to purchase Depends pads. No matter what you tell your friends that you bump into while purchasing them, deep down they will always think they are for you. Anyway, I rinsed the bands in hot water for a few minutes until the pee-odor went away (I didn't even need to touch the pad part yet). Then I added a few drops of detergent onto the pads, foamed it up (yes, I used my hands at this point), and then squeezed/rinsed until the foaming stopped. I hung the diapers over my utility sink to drip-dry. Easy. The diapers dried well. They were fluffy and the Velcro worked perfectly. I ended up buying a second three-pack. Now I have one on each dog, one dry one ready to swap out, and one drip-drying. I'm hoping that this gets them to stop going in the house (barring the rain storm, the diapers tend to only have small drops in them). If not, they can wear these forever. They may look a tad stupid, but at least they are going through it together. ... show more

  • Almost five stars!
Size: Medium (Pack of 3) Color: Natural
I love this product- my 14 year old toy fox terrier has started to have issues with incontinence and these have helped us tremendously. They prevent him from having accidents but catch any occasional leaks. My only complaint is the band slips right off if he's laying down. I devised a little strap using mitten clips and elastic that helps to keep it on that helps a lot. ... show more

  • Velcro Doesn't Last Past 9 Months-- Adding Snaps Fixed It
Size: Medium (Pack of 3) Color: Natural
UPDATE: I've been using the snaps now for several months, and they work okay. But I recommend two snaps per diaper as opposed to just one (with one snap, the diaper tends to bunch right around the one button-- with two snaps it lays flat). But be sure to get the right placement. Too tight and there's no way to adjust it. Sewing replacement velcro would be best for a secure fit, however, it's nice being able to throw the diaper in the wash without having to worry that the velcro will catch on anything else, in addition, the velcro will ultimately fail. ---------------------- ORIGINAL REVIEW: The velcro on these diapers began to get stretched out on the fluffy side, to the point where it just became bare and for some of my diapers, the velcro pad itself began to unravel and detach. This is unacceptable, especially when you have a senior dog that really needs diapers and these just would fall off. I contemplated sewing on new velcro, but for terms of ease and durability, I chose to just hammer on some Heavy Duty Dritz 5/8" snaps using the 981 Tool (bought on Amazon). It was very easy-- I just had to remove the fluffy velcro patch before hammering on. I haven't put these through wash yet though, so hopefully they stand up to the abuse of being a dog diaper. I've also bought Happy Paw diapers, and I noticed that the sewing on it looked little better than Pet Parents' Diapers (the stitching was parallel to the edge of the velcro patch). My most recent purchase of Happy Paw diapers included an extra line of stitching in the center of the fluffy velcro patch, which I think they had done to increase the durability of the patch, since pulling at the velcro to get it to open causes a lot of stress on the stitching. Happy Paw also seems to have lasted better than Pet Parents' diapers (though in this picture in particular, I'm comparing an older diaper with a newer one)-- but I wouldn't be surprised if they had the same problems as Pet Parents' diapers in time. If I had to buy again, I'd buy from Happy Paw because they added that extra line of stitching and they just look like they held up better. Other than that, they hold a lot of pee in-- I just need to make sure the diaper is covering my dog's private parts as it can shift or be put on to far back. ... show more
