Features

  • Protect your poultry: Pet & Livestock HQ 48" tall net and 164 long is recommended for active birds that like to fly. It can contain and graze livestock other than poultry, such as sheep & goats. The tall fence netting is more likely to keep out large garden predators such as coyotes, dogs, skunks, raccoons, foxes, etc
  • Easy setup, right out of the box: Minimal strength or skills are needed (a one-man job) to install this electric netting fence. The lightweight and non-bulky design means the electric mesh netting can be set up and moved quickly and easily, with no tools required. The fiberglass posts with double spikes are already built into the mesh every 9ft and can be pounded in with a mallet. There are 8 pegs and guy-lines for extra stability to be used at corners
  • Keeping chicken safe: The versatile electric chicken fence has graduated spacing for added protection. The 18 horizontal strands (14 conductive) and semi-rigid vertical struts are spaced closer together at the bottom and farther apart at the top to prevent sagging. To prevent electrical shorting during weed growth, the bottom 2 strands are not electrified
  • Electric poultry fence: Small chicks cant escape through the electro poultry fence as the bottom 6 strands are 3" apart. The 11 conductive horizontal stainless-steel wires provide a superior electricized safeguard against predators keeping your animals safe inside a pasture. Pet & Livestock HQ poultry netting is sturdy and suitable for windy conditions. You can have peace of mind knowing your chickens are safe to roam freely
  • Solar-powered electric fence kit: You will need a fence energizer to electrify your netting. The solar fence charger energizer is NOT INCLUDED in the package. We recommend using the Pet & Livestock HQ solar fence energizer. It requires no setup and can be used anywhere, anytime. For this reason, our electric fence netting is popular among free-range farmers

  • Packs a punch

This fence is great. We put it up for our flock of chickens. We were having issues with opossums eating their eggs and racoons eating the chickens. We strung two of these together and made a fairly large field enclosure for our 13 chickens. We tried to use the suggested solar panel, but had issues and returned it. Instead we used the "10 Miles Solar Electric Fence Charger with Day or Night Mode, 0.11 Joule Portable Solar Fence Charger for Livestock, Preventing Predators from Intruding" sold by ANDMON. It is perfect. We haven't had any issues and this gives us a great sense of security for the chickens. My husband accidentally touched the fence when working in the yard and said it packs a good punch. We like the permanent attachment to the vertical support poles, so we can move everything in, mow, and them move it out very easily to keep from having excess grass/weed growth around the perimeter. It was easy to string them together and we've seen good connectivity across both lines even powering from one end. took us ~1.5h to setup two fences connected then another 30m to drill in the grounding rod and 30m to setup the solar panel (the improved one). ... show more

  • Worth it, just worth it.

I held off for close to 7 months before writing this review. I bought one to start and was impressed with the kit. After about two weeks I ordered another one and was still impressed. After another three weeks I ordered another one. I have bee moving my cow and goats around 15 acres now almost an acre at a time. It's a very easy system to use, and has stood up very well to the weather and being moved around so much. I added photos of some things (very few) that have broken. However; given how much abuse and movement this product gets that is an excepted amount of wear & tear. The kit comes with plenty of extras to make repairs etc. The repairs are simple and fast as well. West texas gets dry and the clay ground has given those steaks a run for their money. We use a rubber mallot to pound then in and they just keep going. For the easy of use, flexibility, durability, and the price. I will keep buying this product as long as it is available to buy. The other reviews below 5 stars do not make sense to me or they just don't understand how this product works and lack experience or common knowledge how to work with it. I do high concentration grazing with mixed herd animals and I move them about every 1.5 weeks. I wouldn't do it without this product. To the seller/manufacturer the only improvement I would make is to offer new steak kits so you can change them out when they break to help keep the kit the same and/or add more steaks when on uneven ground where the net sags over those odd transitions. The high winds also stretch the net out and being able to buy more steaks would help mange that over time. ... show more

  • works well, but durability is an issue

No serious complaints about the fence but I do notice that the plastic strips that align the energized wires break when the temperature drops. Keep in mind that I am in Southwest Florida so I am not talking about temperatures in the single digits... our lows are in the 40's. I have had quite a bit of this fence disintegrate when moved in cold temps, but it continues to function. ... show more

  • This is NOT awesome!!!
Style: 164ft w 19 Posts
***Edit at the end!! *** This is the perfect fence for chickens!! Super easy to set up. In the past we had issues with predators getting our chickens, we have had this fence for several months now and our neighbors have all lost hens due to coyotes and bobcats over the past couple months and we have not lost a single hen! It offers amazing protection. The price is good, the size is great! I also love the functionality! When it is a wet month and the chicken yard gets sloppy, it is super easy to move and place to a new area to give that ground a rest for the grass to regrow. Definitely the best buy for my chickens to far! ***Edit: I am sad that I literally just gave this fence a great review, but after this week I must edit it! I bought this May 3rd 2024! Just over 6 months later and I have to replace it! This fence is way too expensive to have to replace every 6 months! Now if it were to last several years I would think the price to be perfect, but it did not. It was working great and we loved it until we noticed a couple holes in it. The way this fence is, is the wires that shock go horizontally, then vertically you have plastic, basically like little mini zip ties going vertically attaching to the wires. I guess being out in the weather the plastic pieces had gotten so brittle. We had a neighbor’s dog come over and try to get in our coop, this was a small dog, size of a chihuahua. It broke many of the plastic pieces. We went to look to see how that happened and you could literally snap them in half with just an ounce of pressure, they were so brittle. I added pics of the hole in our fence. I think a coon or bobcat had also been trying to get in as well, since my neighbors had issues with them recently, they didn't get in, but we have many holes all in the fence from the brittle plastic. In my mind, for how much we paid for this fence, it should have lasted way longer than 6 short months! We had to replace the whole thing. We love the idea of this type of fence and everything about it, except for the plastic pieces, so we did find another one that is all wire! We just put it up today and so far we love it. Time will tell. I am lowering this to 1 star for it only lasting 6 months. ... show more
