  • A true lifesaver for sleepless nights..
Size: 50 Count (Pack of 1)
I have had GERD ( Gastro, Esophageal Reflux Disease ) , a condition where my stomach juices back into my throat. I had recieved a prescription that i used until the dr scrwed me over, etc,etc.. I never replaced the dr yet and the GERD continues. Ive tried Gaviscon, Tums, Rolaids. I had wanted to take zantec but it was pulled off the shelves because of some cancer nonsense. I did some research and found Pepcid. I took a chance. Just one when i get up taken with a glass of water and one about 3pm , with a glass of water, and i have zero problems at nite sleeping and during my daily activities. I can now go back to drinking soda, anything gassy, as well as anything spicy. Zero issues. Btw im also on some heavy duty pain medications which also contribute to my GERD. There is no bad reactions between the Pepcid and my medications. Please check with your pharmacist before taking Pepcis with your medications... for example;Neurontin aka Gabapentin cannot be taken with antacids. I hope this works for you as well as it does for me... ... show more

  • Replacement for my recalled prescription.
Size: 50 Count (Pack of 1)
It works quickly and helps with my ungodly heartburn. Getting older stinks (for lack of a better word) and I I still love certain foods that have made it quite clear that they don't love me. I recently was put on prescription grade heartburn med and was happy it worked ----- then the recall ---- then the taking it off the market. The race was on to find something that worked!! THIS WORKS! EVERY TIME! RIGHT AWAY! ... show more

  • Perfect for GERD and gastritis. 1 pill needed
Size: 50 Count (Pack of 1)
Always works for heartburn and GERD! Usually neeed to take 1 pill. Be mindful that this can deplete magnesium and cause restless leg syndrome so look into that if you take often! Pill itself is a good quick fix for acid

  • Classic medication that still works well
Size: 50 Count (Pack of 1)
Now that Zantac has that scary recall, I had to switch to one of its competitors to take care of my acid reflux/GERD issues. GI doctor recommended me Pepcid AC. I take this with a combination of a delayed-release prescription version of Prilosec (Omeprazole DR 40 mg, which is still covered by insurance by the way!) - Prilosec in the morning, and Pepcid at night right before I go to bed. No more waking up at night with acid threatening to go up my throat. This combined with the Prilosec is a great one-two punch to treat my GERD. Pill is very small, easy to take. Wish the max strength version came in a bottle of 90 like the regular strength one does. ... show more

  • Best remedy for heartburn, reflux, or tummy issues.
Size: 50 Count (Pack of 1)
I rely on Pepcid max strength for occasional heart burn, tummy issues or reflux. It works quickly, and it's safer than proton pump inhibitors such as Prevacid, Prilosec or Nexium, which are for short term use only. My husband and I both use Pepcid and it works!

  • If you get Asian Glow, taking one of these judiciously can help mitigate the redness.
Size: 25 Count (Pack of 1)
Calling All Asians.... If you get Asian Glow (i.e. you have 1/2 of a drink, and are completely sober, but your face/neck/chest has gone pink or blotchy) and you want a temporary way to mitigate that---let's say you need to go to a work function, or important dinner, etc---then Pepcid AC is a helpful tool, when used responsibly and in moderation. Asian Glow affects a large percentage of Asians, and is caused by producing a higher than normal amount of alcohol dehydrogenase. When you have a drink, alcohol is transformed by alcohol dehydrogenase into acetaldehyde. Normal white people get to enjoy a "buzz" when they have a drink, because they have a steady trickle of alcohol dehydrogenase. Then acetaldehyde is transformed by acetaldehyde dehydrogenase into harmless acetate. Acetaldehyde is the main culprit in Asian Glow--since people like me have a firehose that is blasting alcohol into acetaldehyde, we get a big logjam of it, and end up red and blotchy, even though we may feel completely sober. Pepcid AC Maximum Strength, taken about an hour before you plan to have an alcoholic drink, helps to tone down the Glow. You don't want to abuse it-----or mask harmful effects of drinking too much---but if you need a helping hand for a night out or special event, taking one of these can help. NOTE: This is NOT the primary intent of this OTC medication---and using medications off-label is not generally a sound thing to do without doctor supervision. But I consider this an emergency measure---like when you have to go to your company holiday party. How does it work? Well, it has to do with histamine blocking, which lessens the extent of the redness---the Pepcid allows you to metabolize the alcohol slower, rather than the firehose some of us have. I don't take these regularly, since I barely drink at all--but on special occasions that I can't avoid, where I can't afford to be blotchy and red-eyed, taking one of these is the lesser of two evils. Everyone should weight their own priorities accordingly. Pick your poison! ... show more
