  • Nice sized numbers on ceiling
Color: White Digits; Red Projection
Easy to read numbers. Not too big and not too small. Colorful night light easy on the eyes. Perfect bedroom clock.

  • Perfect clock
Color: Blue Digits; Blue Projection
The numerals are clear, both on the ceiling and on the clock face. The size is good for a night table. THe blue color is easy to see in the daytime and in the dark.

  • Great size and easy to read
Color: White Digits; Red Projection
This clock is a great size for our nightstand, I like the compact depth and the width is easy to work with. My wife likes the large number display which is easy to read without glasses or contacts. We also regularly rely on the projection display, it is crisp when focused, and easily readable. I like the red digits which are less disruptive to sleep than blue light would be. In general we like this alarm for the main purposes we use it for - telling time and projecting time. It can be a bit difficult to navigate all the buttons on the back, which is a slight deterrent against using the nightlight or alarm more often. The buttons are all identical and unless you memorize the placement, you need to constantly look at the labels. Our power outlet placement doesn't allow a lot of slack in the power cord, so picking it up often to look at the back isn't ideal. The alarm works as we would expect. You long-press the alarm button to configure a time, and use + / - buttons to set the hour and minute. It's a little awkward in that the buttons are on the back and the display on the front, but you get used to the button placement and then can navigate by touch. The alarm is a basic electronic beep, it starts quieter and very quickly increases. You can hit the snooze button on top, which is clearly labeled (the visual design for snooze is somewhat garish but it works). The snooze is easy to access, but if you want to stop the alarm rather than snooze, you need to reach onto the back and press one of eight identical buttons to stop the alarm. It would be nice if there was a more easily accessible way to stop the alarm. The nightlight could also benefit from an easy access button for use in the dark. In general this is a good clock, it does all of its functions well. It's just heavily reliant on navigating the back buttons, so it works best when the cord gives you slack to pick up and manipulate the clock, or if you memorize the button layout by touch. ... show more

  • Projection on the Ceiling
Color: Blue Digits; Blue Projection
This clock is small, the numbers are very bright blue and they are large. The clock is great but I'm not impressed with the projection on the ceiling. It is blurred.

  • Pretty Good Projection Clock
Color: Blue Digits; Blue Projection
We have a projection clock in one bedroom and thought it would be nice to have another projection clock in a different bedroom. This projection clock is nice but has a few missing things that our other clock (which was at the same price point) has and so there is a disappointment. First the positives. The digits on this clock are very clear and easy to read; both the face display and the projection display. Also the face display and the projection display each have their own separate 5 levels of brightness that can be adjusted and either display can be set to off which is a nice option. The projection display focus knob has good range which will work nicely for low or high ceilings and near or far walls. The clock is thin and looks nice. The function/setting buttons on the back are clearly labeled to their purpose. It has a battery backup to retain the time if the power goes out and will also provide backup power to insure a set alarm will sound. There is a USB-A plug available on the back to charge a phone. The time display can be set to either AM/PM or 24hour time format. Finally the color changing nightlight bar on top is a nice addition but a bit too bright for me so I won’t be using it. Now the disappointments. The clock’s projected time orientation can be only set to straight, flipped, or off. The problem is the projected time cannot be rotated. This lack of rotation is fine when the clock is placed on a headboard above your head but if you have the clock on a nightstand facing the bed the projected time will be parallel to the person in bed. Looking up at the time on the ceiling, it will not be orientated for easy reading. If still on a nightstand and turned to project the time horizontally on a wall, you will not be able to see the face of the clock. Second, there is no time syncing to one of the three NIST Time & Frequency Service broadcast stations. These stations are located in Boulder Colorado, LaCrosse Wisconsin, and Gaithersburg Maryland. They are updated every 10 minutes and one of these stations can be reached from most parts of the continental United States. We have three other clocks in the house that sync time to one of these stations and they cost about the same. So since the sync function is missing, the time displayed on the clock will eventually drift. The power adapter wire plugs into a USB-C port on the back of the clock but directly into the port at a right angle to the clock’s back. So, you cannot push the clock back against a wall since you need about an inch for the USB-C plug. Finally, since it is not possible to enter the year, month, day, and time zone (UTC difference), daylight savings time will need to be manually adjusted in November and March. So basically you need to reset the time on this clock twice a year. I like the clock with its display, brightness settings, and projection. I love the blue color. But - I can only give it a 4 star rating because of these missing functions. ... show more
