My Syrian hamster seems to be a big fan so far! I wasn’t sure if it would fit my guinea pigs or my hamsters but I figured it would work for one of the other. I have two adult male guinea pigs and they’re much too big for it, so I would definitely recommend it for animals that are smaller than guinea pigs. My hamster started exploring right away as soon as I put it in her cage, and she has no problem climbing on top and going in the hole. She also nibbled on it when I first put it in but she hasn’t really chewed on it since then. It is fairly large with the three rooms to be putting it in a hamster cage, but it also work great for free roaming or in a playpen to provide your animal with something to hide in and climb on. It comes in I believe 7 pieces, but it’s fairly easy to assemble and it’s sturdy when it is, I would just be gentle with the pieces when putting it together so they don’t break. Edit: it’s been in my hamster’s cage for over a month now and she’s moved her nest into it, so she seems happy with it! Some of the pieces arrived warped but I was able to put it together fairly easily. Within a few days some of the pieces have broken, I’m not sure if it’s from my chinchilla jumping on top of the house or what but it still stands it just doesn’t have walls all the way around. Two pieces don’t fit exactly right into the house either. Probably would’ve returned but needed a little house for a new chinny so it works ... show more

A little smaller then I expected hoped my guinea would be able to use it awhile but she will grow out of it faster. Doesn’t lock together well. But still serves its purpose. She likes it a lot.

The boards were warped making it nearly impossible to slide the pieces together to complete the house. Some pieces broke when trying to assembly because the panels are so thin and warped. I do not recommend this product. If it had put together well, it would be good for a rat or small guinea pig.

Update: I am already having to reorder a new one of these. It’s pretty crappy. But the hammy likes it and I don’t want to change up his home again on him. This just soaks up pee and stinks. It warps pretty badly too. I tried to clean it and it literally snapped in half. So it’s taped together at the moment. I think it’s pretty flimsy and if he pees inside the mood soaks it up so not the best. But my hammy seems to love it. He goes from room to room and just hangs out. Top was warped, front panel was broken at the connector, definitely not chew proof...rats ate it right up.
