This has a strong male cologne smell, unlike the one purchased from a local salon. Still works the same. Same nice quality, doesn't leave a matte or sticky residue. Flexible style & helps w/ frizz & humidity.

I bought this product as a recommendation from Kayley Malissa on YouTube from her bridal hair tutorial. This product has amazing hold for slicked styles and memory/grip for curled or wavy styles. I wouldn’t recommend using it as a scrunching gel for wavy hair however it does well for over night waves like braids or robe curls. I used too much when I was testing pin curls with it, so jury is out on that. A little goes a long way with this product especially when using it in wet hair that you will be drying and styling.     • Works like Slick Works & it’s a WINNER!
If you formerly used Paul Mitchell Slick Works, this review is for you. I was skeptical about trying this product because....WHAT could possibly be better than Slick Works right? Note: Slick Works was still sold on Amazon about a year ago but you had to purchase 2 and the sticker shock was ridiculous 2 @ $45.00 each-YIKES! I paid about $12.50 10 years ago at Supercuts & even though price gradually rose to &16.50 I thought it was well worth it since I have an extremely short cut with about an inch on top so the tube would last well. Please know this product will not disappoint. If you want a little sheen without greasy gross hair that also provides the definition that gives you a well-groomed, polished look this is it. It is also a cross between the feel of Slick Works and a cream (which for me is tricky because normally a cream makes the gray in my hair look white). A dab and a small bit of water rubbed together is the tip my stylist gave me with Slick works & it’s the same for this product. This product is not waxy or goopy at all. Doesn’t ruin your pillow cases or clothing. If it’s too thick/creamy, more water solves that problem.     • The only type of “gel” I’ve found to work well
I’ve been using this for years. It’s hard to find in my area anymore and it’s pretty expensive, but it’s the only hair product I’ve found that doesn’t harden like crazy and still keeps a hold all day.

Paul Mitchell Flexible Style Wax Works Gel, 6.8 Fl Oz is my go-to product to style my hair. I am able to use just a small amount to get the hair style I desire. The product doesn't weigh my hair down or dry my hair out. The tube is a little pricey, but since I only use a small amount, it does last quite a long time. I did have hard time finding this product at my local stores, but fortunate to find it available on-line. Been using it for years and love it! ... show more
