This really is made of aluminum, except for the post shoe mount which allows you to remove the post and only have the shoe with a plastic cover. Installation was quick and easy. So if you’re not careful when rolling out the awning and rolling it back, it can get severely wrinkled. Which is what happened to ours. Company was kind enough to replace the faulty one. The new one has no problems never gets wrinkled. It does seem very finicky when it comes to pulling out the awning and winding it. Other than that, it’s a great product! ... show more
