  • small INNO vs Blue Sky
Size: Small Color: Black
I have not used this yet - so please see other reviews on that. I just wanted to show the difference in the two I have. I have had the BLUE brand for 3 years. Has worked flawlessly - just a little sanding and paint after each season of camping - solid product. I just wanted something smaller that's was just for the wife and I. This fits the bill. With limited space in my RV, this was a better choice - just look at the picture. It's not as solid as my Blue one, but for the price difference and my usage, this will be great. Even if it only last one season. Remember that these things are basically "on fire" for long periods of time. Glad I bought this and can't wait to use it. Small and perfect for just two people - VERY pleased so far. Will only change the 5 star rating, if needed - after I use it. Cute lil' fella! ... show more

  • great product
Size: S Color: Silver
I purchased the stainless steel version. The 4 stars for "lightweight" is because this is not thin and flimsy. Solid construction and design gives it a bit of weight. I was concerned about it being too small but it has been a hit with everyone that has seen it. I have a small camper so a regular box store firepit was not a viable option. The way this pit nests inside itself and its good quality carry bag made this one of my camping favorites. Some reviewer complained about he quality of the carry bag. Yes I would have preferred a cordura nylon bag, but the included vinyl bag is adequate and will last with just a bit of care. This pit makes a really nice fire with tall flames using pellets. Easy to start and clean after. Puts off a lot of heat with almost no smoke. It does not put out the amount of flame from the small holes near the top like the expensive smokeless pits advertise. You get some and maybe if you used more pellets for a hotter fire you would get more. I like it way better than a regular pit that smokes up your eyes and clothes causing to to play ring around the pit avoiding the smoke. Haven't used wood in it. Pellets leave little ash/soot and can be used in campgrounds that prohibit outside firewood. My advise; just buy it. ... show more

  • Really nice firepit
Seems well built. Very portable if you want that. Carrying case is nice. Has a big flame and is pretty warm when it's running. It was pretty breezy the night we started it and that was a little problem in both getting it lit and having it burn easy. It is reasonably smokeless when it's going strong but does make a fairly normal amount of smoke as it gets started and as it starts to burn down. I haven't tried adding more pellets to the fire when it's running so can't comment on how that goes. Recommend for the price for sure. Dropped a star due to smokiness at start up and not doing well in a breeze. ... show more

  • Still Going Strong After 3 Years
I've had this Innostage since June 2021 and I think it's great for the price and what it does. The bottom of the pit is a little warped and rusted, but that was my fault for leaving it out in rain or snow a few (like 3 or 4 times). The performance is unaffected. It takes some time to understand how it works and how to get an effective, albeit short, fire going. Overall, it is smokeless for the most part and puts off a good amount of heat. You get about 30 minutes for a fire and 20 of it is roaring - depending on how many pellets you add. Rule #1: NEVER add more pellets to a roaring fire or smoldering ash. You will release a smoke monster. Rule #2: NEVER EVER add more pellets to an existing fire or smoldering ash. You will upset your guests and significant other. Pour in the pellets to about more than half way, but under the little inside holes. Next, spray some lighter fluid, light and enjoy. That's really it. And follow the 2 rules above. When all you have is smoldering ash left, you can use some metal tool (like a hoe) and push and scrape the ash around the bottom to force it into the catch basin thing below. After that, you can add more pellets and repeat the process. Just be careful redoing the lighter fluid since the ash below can reignite from below. ... show more

  • Easy way to get your s’more on!
UPDATE 1 YEAR LATER Still love this pit. Medium size is nice, still think a large size would be better. I have several stacks of small splits to feed the fire. Ideal for impromptu smores with the kids or having a cup of coffee early in the morning as I let my smoker get up to temp. I always dump the ashes and store in the garage if rain is in the forecast. Moisture mixed with ash is certain to degrade a pit faster. ORIGINAL I got the medium size in stainless steel. I love that this is quick set up and easy to stow away. I’ve used pellets and firewood, and I definitely prefer firewood. Much easier to manage, IMO, but I like that I can use pellets, too. The design on this is so good for impromptu fires and it burns everything down to nothing. After it cools, I clean up with a blower and pack it back in its bag. I use less wood because it’s efficient and while I’d like to have a bigger one than the medium size, it serves its purpose nicely. Cut some firewood down in length, arrange it, light it with one of those BBQ tumbleweeds and it’s blazing in no time. I would recommend this fire pit but I would not go smaller than the medium size. ... show more
