We had a couch set, and being we have 7 cats, it was toast, they had shreded every corner down. We bought a used, new to us, couch set & go rid of the old one. I was determined to not let my darling cats mess up this new couch set! So I bought a product that looked like it would help, adhesive sheets from on Amazon. They were fairly thick, I could cut them to size, and stuck them over the corners. It took about a week before they were starting to come off, with puncture marks in them! The adhesive was not strong enough to hold it on, especially with a cat tearing at it with sharp claws! So I bought Panther Armor protector with the nail/screws & boy it works! The plastic guards are thick & durable, yet easy to bend around the corner of the couches. The corkscrew pins easily screw in to the corners of the guards & into the couch. They are so small, it is only a bit bigger than a needle, so you literally just twist it undone if you needed too. I would say they are much stronger than the other brand I bought, but less adhesive, so I do think you need to use the screw pins that are provided, or it might come off. The cats are not even trying to scratch on the couch anymore, I guess they tried already & realized it didn't work! Only negative is, you need to make sure that you screw the pins into an area where there isn't a piece of frame inside. They will not screw through the wood frame I found out! But I just put the pin about 2-3"in away from the corner point & then it worked & is holding up fine. Photo is of the couch with protector on front corner & back corner. ... show more

I bought this to put on my sofas to deter my cat from scratching. One of the couches is like a tweed, the other is chenille. The product went on fairly easy and I did find that it stopped my cat from scratching. A little over a year later, my daughter catnapped my cat because she got her own house, lol. In removing the product, some of the metal curly things did not come out as easily as they went in. I thought it was going to make pulls in the couches. They didn't luckily. Also when pulling off the sticky shields it did remove a light layer of the chenille. The tweed couch did fine. However, you cannot see any damage being that it was only a thin layer. I have attached some pics to show what I mean. Would I buy and use this product again, ABSOLUTELY. It's worth not having my cat destroy my couches. Ok so I’ve only had this up 2 days so I can’t say for the longevity of this product yet but I really didn’t expect this to work and it has so far! I have 3 cats and just bought this bench for the end of our bed. They immediately started clawing it. I covered it with blankets and was looking for something to deter them. I even got extra scratching posts and put them near the bench and tried taking the blanket off but then they ran from the post to the bench and back. Lol. I put this up and immediately when they went to scratch it and got the plastic material, they stopped. Now they did try a few times yesterday. Today they haven’t even attempted it ONCE! I even saw one jump up and just lay on it! LOL! They are doing the scratching post and not running back to the bench today too. I’m keeping my fingers crossed this lasts! I’m ordering another packet soon to finish this bench just in case they realize I didn’t cover it all and if it does last, then the new couch we have been wanting to get is getting bought!! :) ... show more

It saved my new $1,800 sofa. Cats gave up trying to scratch and walked away with a disgusted look. Only concern is it adheres greatly, but I was unsure how it would affect the material if just left there, so I pulled it off and then reapplied, the glue isn't so sticky, and it didn't damage the sofa at all. I had it on for about 2 weeks before removing and reapplying. I am very satisfied, they are thick and work. If I was going to just apply and never take them off, wouldn't think twice about buying. The products has stopped my cat from clawing the back of my fabric dining chairs. However, now he does the seats.😡. Hard to put these on the seats and sit. I imagine they'd be perfect for someone who has a trainable, non-psycho cat. I do not but, that's not this company's fault. It's mine for rescuing a demon cat. I still love him. What's that say about me? It says, I need to buy new chairs without upholstery. Sigh... ... show more

This is a sturdy, great product that’s amazing! However, although it works great and I love it, the sheets are not enough to even cover the tiniest of couches and I’m disappointed that they were so small. I found online that tinfoil works just as well.

We used this on stairs and furniture. It is clear but obvious. A small price to pay for having kitties. I was supersized to find a complete adhesion kit including tacks. If more is needed we will buy this again. It has been months with no yellowing and the cats wont claw it or even try.

Awesome product! We had cats growing up and my mother would have to fix the fabric on the furniture. Such a headache. Wish this was around back then! So that being said this is such a great product. Purchased these a while back and it holds up like the strongest tape I’ve ever used! My cats don’t even care about trying to sharpen their murder mittens on it because they found out how pointless it would be. Haha it’s a very strong durable product!
