I have crochet hook and knitting needle storage cases in canvas, some kind of coated fabric, and plasticized fabric. 4 cases, not one of which can be labeled because nothing sticks! Even permanent marker wipes off leaving a smeary mess. These paint pens cover everything! I used white on purple, dark blue, pink, and red. It took a few coats, using only one pen, to cover a 3” square on the heavily textured fabric, but I have a nice big white square now, and fine point markers work beautifully now. There is some paint odor, but it dissipates quickly. Bending the cases severely does not crack the paint. I didn’t think I needed 6 of these, but I’ve now thought several places they’ll come in handy. I have some small cracks in laminated closet shelves that should cover easily! ... show more

I love using these paint pens on glass windows for art. They are very opaque and will come off, immediately, or days, or even weeks later by just spraying some water and then scraping off with a blade. (on glass surfaces) The odor is strong but I just use a fan nearby for ventilation. Once dry, it doesnt smell. It also dries very fast. like within 20 seconds. I like that they also come in smaller nibs as well for little details. I will continue buying these for art projects. no need to shop around! :) ... show more

I was hoping that I could write on a painted wall with these, but they are not perfect. The tips are made of wood, and you have to shake them like crazy to get the ink into the tips. Also, if you press hard like I did, there is no way to sharpen the tips back to the desired pointiness unless you are willing to use a personal knife to cut them. If you want a finer point, you can turn the tips around, but be prepared to get covered in ink if you do so. Also, be prepared to be covered in ink when you change from an old tip to a new tip. These are great for posters or paper, but not so great for writing on a wall. ... show more

    • these versus the sharpie ones

i was trying to compare these to the sharpie oil paint markers & these are sooooo great. they’re nearly identical to the sharpie markers, they smell a little stronger but everything else is nearly the same i just started using them so i’ll update when i figure out if they outlast the sharpie markers :) update: i’m almost through my box and two of the markers stopped working like immediately after opening them & using them & when i tried to fix it they just kinda burst everywhere. they go further than the sharpie markers but i don’t think i’ll buy them again just because they’re much messier and haven’t been nearly as easy to use. they might end up as my back up, but definitely not my first choice above sharpie pens at this point :-/ ... show more

    • Easily lose the cap
I wanted to love these markers. They DO WORK. The purple is bright and pretty. Very visible. However, it's a hassle to get them to write. Even after shaking them vigorously and repeatedly pressing down on the tip to release the ink, it barely writes at first. I had to release enough ink for the marker to bleed before it would write, then i had purple ink everywhere. AND! the cap is too small to fit on the back of the marker so u have to put the cap down somewhere and come back to it. I work in construction so when we're moving fast, i always lose or misplace the d**n cap and then the marker is useless bc i cant keep it without it drying up or gettin the ink everywhere from having no cap! So although u get a good amount for the money, i blow through them too quickly due to the cap issue. ... show more

Even though I ment to get multi colored paint pens, I am very satisfied with these. The silver, I used as an a outline around the "windows" or an RC car. Made it look like chrome. And the white worked well as I used it to cover scuff and scratch marks on the same car. Didn't use the gold.

I paint on canvas and outline everything with black. Years ago I used india ink and old Speedball pens for my black lines. I tried magic markers, but they weren't as dark. Lately I've used a paint brush, but it's very time-consuming. These paint pens are amazing. They create a gorgeous black line quickly and easily. Definitely easier than a brush, and the black is nearly as thick as black acrylic in a paintbrush. Another reviewer complained about the paint running out of the pen tip. I have not had that problem whatsoever with these pens. However, I also bought a set of fine tip paint pens (a different brand), and the paint ran out the tip...so I kept shaking the pen and when the paint inside got mixed up better, it quit running out, and it began working perfectly. ... show more
