I recently bought a used Tahoe. This car stinks. I mean, I opened the door and literally thought I might vomit. The smell was a super strong mix of, uh, "mary jane," cigarettes and some kind of air freshener that did not freshen anything. Drove it home with the windows down, kept the windows down for a few days, I put a bucket of vinegar in to absorb the smell -no good. I used febreeze, nothing. Bought some other smell remover spray - no help. I cleaned the seats (leather) vacuumed up a few roaches, and no, I don't mean bugs. I triend all types of things and nothing helped. At all. I went online and googled searched how to get smells out and read that an ozone machine could help. I was skeptical, but the price was right so I figured I'd give it a try. I got it the next day and immediately tried it out. I read the directions - make sure you read them! You can not breath ozone - it was super easy to use. Not at all complicated. I stuck it in the car, kept the air circulating and kept it on for about an hour. Unplugged it, held my breath and opens the doors to the car. After a little bit I stuck my head in and.....wow. huge difference - not 100% but so much better. I ran it again the next day, this time a little longer. When I checked it I could barely detect the smell. Ran it once more and so far we are now 100% stench free! Had a toasty day, and I was afraid the stink would come back after the car was sealed up in the heat, I was so happy when I opened the door and was assaulted with the stench. It smelt like my little air freshener. Which is what I wanted. I'm glad I went ahead bought this, otherwise I don't know what I would done with the smell. Nothing else I tried worked. I would say a total of 4 hours removed years of smells. So worth it. ... show more

Works well, I had a carpeted room that was getting a little full of candles, cat, and dog smell, so I turn this on for about 20 mins, let it sit for an hour-ish, and aired it out, it WILL stink like "ozone" for a couple of days, but after that ALL smells were gone. Add a little baking soda to your vacuuming routine and your house or area will smell fresh. This isn't a miracle worker but it works well indeed if you laze deep cleaning all the time. ... show more

I am a schoolteacher. At my first teaching job, we had to dress business professionally... suits, ties, tie clips, loafers, & ascots on Fridays. I never got the Ascot thing. The one teacher that wears one looks comical, like Hugh Heffner, teaching 5th graders... In any event, I have a bit of OCD and I'm not into other people handling my clothes & I hate dry-cleaning bills, so I got this to disinfect my work clothes. I have 5 suits I rotate through the school week. I get into my clothes at 6am and at 2:30 when I arrive back home, they get scanned for visible stains (there never are any), then hung back up, pants too. At the weekend, before going out for weekend errands, I set the manual timer on the unit for 15m (it's already plugged into it's smartplug). Then I have 5 minutes to seal off the room with blue painters tape and just before leaving the house I announce: "Hey google, turn on Ozone generator" then after hearing her confirmation, leave for shopping/oil change/haircuts, etc. After whatever time is left on the unit's manual timer runs out, it shuts off. Then it has about 2 hours to work and settle airborne particles to the ground before I arrive back at home. I usually can't smell anything, so I go about my day and don't even worry about reentry into the previously sealed-off room. The next time I do, I vacuum, and I'm done. So... this is not a glade plug in, it takes a little while to work, you have to be careful with not breathing in the air it generates, but it works great. For shoes, every two months, I place them in a GIGANTIC plastic bin with the unit. Let it run 5m. Two hours when I go to open the bin, all my stinky shoes smell brand new again. Love it, but be careful with it. Know how to use it before you do as you don't want to suffer any ill health effects from breathing in ozone. Also, make sure everything living from the room you use it in is removed before use, including houseplants, as they will be killed by the unit. That said, it also works great as an "extermination device." After using it the first time, I noticed about 2 weeks later than all of my little wool moths had disappeared. ... show more
