The wood filament is fantastic! I’ve probably bought 10-12 rolls of it or so and it been great! It was a learning curve to print, since it is a brittle filament and did clog my nozzle a few times while finding the right settings for my printers but it’s been running smooth since! I absolutely love the textured feel it has because it feels more like wood than filament. It sticks to both my textured PEI plate and Smooth PEI plate well with no glue needed. I just had to keep them temp down on the build plate. It also prints at a lower temperature so the wood doesn’t burn in the nozzle (I found that out the hard way). All around it’s great filament and easy enough to use. I do get some stringing that I haven’t been able to get rid of while printing but all in all my prints come out very clean and I can just use a heat gun to get rid of the stringing. ... show more

Updated review 11/30/23 to 5 stars Originally when I purchased this product, I was using an Ender 5 printer and I just could NOT get the filament to print properly. However, after switching to a Bambu Labs printer, this filament is as stunning as I'd hoped it would be when I purchased it last year. I'm so happy that I'm going to order more. 2022 - 2 stars I really wanted to love this filament. Unfortunately, I just cannot get it to print properly. I've changed layer height, I've changed build speed, tempature, I've changed my infill percentage... used rafts, not used rafts... I've made sure my bed is level. Nothing I've done results in a clean print. I get layer shifts, I get splitting, none of my prints look good, and most of them end up failing partway through. I've contacted the seller and they suggested some settings that I'd already tried prior to reaching out which didn't help much. I switched back to a filament that I have no issues with and those prints run smoothly. I'm not sure if the issue is with the filament itself? Maybe I got a bad batch, I don't know. If you plan on doing a substantial amount of printing - do not get this set. There is enough on each reel to print 3 six-inch gnomes with a little left over. I used these small reels to learn how to print wood. I used most of the first reel up before I figured how to configure my printer. Other than the unexpected small amount on each reel - it allowed me to try several types of wood filament and the prints came out looking pretty good. I've been wanting to try a wood filament and I'm glad to say that I'm having excellent results with this. My first print was a Benchy boat, and it came out very very nice. No bed adhesion issues. I love the flat texture, looks like People say that the filament is brittle, but I don't see that this is brittle to the point of snapping while printing. I haven't had any issues at all, other than some very fine stringing which wipes away when done. I'm printing at 200F. I love the wood smell. I'm going to be doing a lot of stuff with this filament!!!!! ... show more

Hours and hours wasted. Tried a range of temperatures and speeds only to have clog after clog. When it did work, I liked the look, but it never finished a single print. I spent 2 spools of filament trying to dial in and find settings that would work to no avail. I have a Lulzbot machine that’s been very reliable, but this is the first filament that’s been this bad to where I’m just going to throw it out if I can’t return it. Did not work in my printer. Tried configuration changes and recommended settings from other comments. I will buy filament from the company again, but never this wood pla. I used this to print a holder for my USB hub on my desk. It printed great no problem. Just used the regular PLA settings in the Ankermake M5 slicer. You can smell the wood burning while your printing. You have to really get close to smell it, it wasn't smoking or creating crazy fumes, but I found it more of a pleasant smell. Kind of like have a lot of firewood. The texture is wood like as well. ... show more
