    • Not a Standing Ovation for These Seats

First, I did not pay the "new" price for the pair of these chairs I purchased. They were $94.99 when I purchased them. I am glad that I did not pay more. They are very attractive and very comfortable - but I am not sure how substantial the integrity of the chairs will remain over time. The thin layer of paint is already wearing off the seat boards from merely sitting and getting up. (As with any Adirondack design, one has to slide a bit to get to the back of the chair.) I will be tightening up the hardware this weekend to see if I did not secure everything properly the first time. I don't want to seem overly negative here. I am currently happy with the items. I am simply wary for the long run. I will report back after a couple of months. ... show more

Completely disappointed with these chairs. Not only were the directions difficult to follow, but the flaws in the chairs were horrible. Purchased two for our deck and not only was wood cracked in multiple places, but there were unpainted surfaces, pieces did not fit correctly, parts missing and there were imperfections all over the chairs. Not expecting perfection but these were terrible. Based on the cracks in the wood and the appearance of the chairs with all of the flaws, cracks mismatched parts and missing pieces, we could not even use them. Save your money & time - these are not worth the money or headache. They are very cheaply made. ... show more

Purchased two chairs for our front porch. Some assembly is required. If you are fairly handy it may take you 30 to 40 minutes to assemble. The workmanship and quality are ok. We had one chair that was missing some hardware. The other had small areas without paint. The instructions for assembly are not very good, and don't match the hardware you receive. Take a little time to lay everything out and you should be able to figure out putting it together in spite of the poor directions. For the price point they are ok.
