    • This is a high quality raised bed planter for sure!

First off, let's talk about quality. I had never heard of the Outsunny company before encountering this product, but I will be checking them out. This is a super durable and rugged, high quality planter. It takes some time to get it built but the construction is straightforward. I believe that even if you don't do too much building of products like this, it won't be too difficult. I got a friend to help me and we were done in no time. As far as the wait, this bad boy weighs 35 lb. It is a lot more durable and heavier duty than I expected, and that's a good thing. The area we placed it was under some trees with a decent amount of sunshine and it is just perfect. You probably already know it is 6 ft long by 3 ft wide and 2 ft tall. Why do I mention the size? I mention it because that means you need 245 gallons of dirt to fill it up to the top! So do some calculations if you are buying soil because it could require a pretty decent investment to fill up the box. It is opened in the bottom to provide drainage, and I was impressed that when you build it, in the middle of the box there is a supportive cross beam structure. It is an x-shaped construction that connects the front to the back walls and this is something you don't always find in this type of raised bed planter. Of course, being galvanized, it is made for weather. I have used galvanized metal in the past and it lasts forever outdoors, regardless of the weather. We are super happy with this product. If you are looking for a raised bed planter for vegetables, flowers, or just about any types of plants that require depth because they have long roots, I can confidently recommend that you will be super happy with this selection. ... show more

I got this to make an herb garden on my back porch. I didn't realize the size in comparison to the space I had available. My dad put it together for me while he was visiting and put it on the porch and we could barely walk around it! We ended putting it out in the yard - not idea. Also, it's quite deep, so takes a lot of fill dirt. I liked the idea of a raised bed but the size and the depth made it not what I was hoping for. I'm sure it will be great for someone looking for a larger container. ... show more

    • A pain to assemble, but it sure is impressive!

I don't have pictures yet because this was a bit of a bear to assemble! LOTS of pieces, LOTS of bolts and nuts, plus reinforcement that doesn't assemble like in the pictures! Still, once assembled it is pretty much HUGE! It measures 6feet by 2 feet wide by 3 feet tall, and it is ALL steel! You'll need to fill from the bottom up at least half way with plain dirt, then fill the rest with fertile soil. I will be filling mine with a mixture of potting soil, well rotted chicken poo and compost from my garden compost pile. When I get this thing in place I'll take pictures. I plan to put a cucumber trellis on mine and see what happens. It ain't light... I'll need help putting it in place! It looks like it will get plants growing well, that's for sure. I already have three raised vegetable beds in my garden, and they all perform very well. I expect no less of this raised garden bed. ... show more

This is an impressive raised garden bed. It's a massive size: 6ft long, 2ft wide and 3 ft high. It takes up quite a bit of visual space too, so be ready for that. It is heavy- I couldn’t lift it before or after assembly. That said, it is durable. I really do expect this to last quite some time. It's open bottom so I don't have to worry about water logging. I really like the height of it- makes gardening a lot easier. There are quite a few garden beds on the market and many of them are not worth it for one reason or another. I had a problem with this delivery, the box was broken and some things were missing. The customer service for this item was outstanding. Do not worry about ordering from these folks, they make it right. This is a very nice, 2 foot tall, raised garden bed. The sheets of dark gray metal are each covered in a thin plastic sheet to keep it pristine. I put a layer of hardware cloth under these beds to keep the local moles from snacking, but they can be put right onto the ground. With the open bottom I don’t have issues with things getting water logged if I forget to turn off the water. The instructions worked fine, but it was pretty intuitive. I love the extra depth in this bed and am very happy overall with its quality, size and design. ... show more
