I’ve been wearing my Oura ring every day and night for a little over 3 months and it seems very accurate. I’m usually skeptical of wearable monitoring devices, but often try them nonetheless, so I use several different ones, along with non-wearable, more accurate monitors to compare reliability. The Oura seems to be spot on with my sleep, stress, and activity. It’s always detected my naps and routine “workout” activities (I created a label for my strenuous every day activities). Those are really the only stats I look at. Battery life is pretty good (mine usually needs charging nearly every 3-4 days). It’s very stylish and comfortable. I like the pulse ox and heart monitors as well. It works very well with the Apple Health app and integrates seamlessly. The Oura App is also very well designed and functions perfectly. I have not been very careful with my ring—I‘ve dropped it twice on a hard tile floor and I also wear it while working with power tools and while doing light construction/carpentry/craft work and it has held up exceptionally well. I also have worn it while washing my hands, but take it off during bathing/showering. When I first purchased it, I wore a silicone ring over it for protection, but it was too bulky. Overall, I am very happy with this tracker and would definitely recommend it. I love the sleep tracking with my Apple Watch, but sadly, it needs to be on the charging dock at night, so that feature is pretty useless for me. The Oura, however, is perfect. ... show more

    • A great tool to monitor your health.
I wanted to get better at tracking my sleep. I was sleeping 3 to 5 hours a day, no issues with it, except what all the doctors and health reports were telling me. So I decided to investigate myself. The ring is beautiful, fits well, and the titanium is light. I did scratch it a bit when I grab barbells at the gym, so I’d advise to not do that. Everything else, it’s amazing. Four days of battery life per charge, waterproof, and deeply discreet. You will see quite a bit of light in a totally dark space, but that part wasn’t so challenging for me. You will want to pay for the monthly subscription if you want the ring to do anything meaningful. You don’t have to pay, but the basic insights they give you without paying are useless. But the great thing is that you can pay for it with HSA dollars so pre-tax added to your health cost. The insights it had given me have changed the way I sleep and work out. There are lots of reading and blogs, deep dives into your data. Tracking all these metrics overtime is a great way to see what the daily impacts of what you do have on your body. And it’s great to bring to my doctors when I have issues to be able to show them the data directly. But the most important part was that once you see the data for yourself you start changing things without being prompted. Just one example, I have stopped drinking in the evenings because I realize that whenever I drank a beer close to bed time, I had terrible sleep. I was restless, defined as lots of mini wake ups during sleep, and that restless was imperceptible to me (I thought I slept soundly through the night). Easy to use. The sizing kit is a great idea! I have used the ring for a couple of weeks already, almost everytime. It comes with a USB charger and you can charge it in a couple of hours, when you are at rest, like seating in front of your PC. The whole idea of measuring your vitals and have insights on your health does not really works if you are not willing to pay $5/month for the service of updating and sincronizing your data. It is like a printer. You have the printer but if you don't buy the cartridge it's useless. The paid service is very good. It provides additional information, like sleeping good habits, for example. That info is worth if/when connected with your actual sleeping data. Nevertheless, I'm missing two vitals that are not included: blood presure and ECG. ... show more
