Got the watch today. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 bc it’s early days yet. I hope it’ll prove itself to be a 5-star watch. I bought this for traveling - easy to read dial, and it’s waterproof, which I like bc I’ll be in a very wet environment. I got the perforated band bc I think the solid band would keep my skin wet and eventually I’d get a rash. The face is a great size - easy to read, and it’s both a 12-hour watch and a 24-hour watch. The latter makes things easier abroad, where they use a 24-hour system - ie, if you’re told “be here at 2200 hours” the watch shows that 2200 is equal to 10 pm. I wanted a "simple" old school dial watch because my vision is not so good and I need to quick glance while biking, paddle boarding, etc just to get an idea how long I'm out in the sun. I couldn't see the dim digital watches in bright sunlight. This also glows at night which is a super cool added feature. I have a small wrist and many watches slide around and won't stay put. This watch has lots of holes on the band so I can get a comfortable, but snug fit. I don't know if it's water resistant or not as I haven't dropped it in water - yet - and I'd rather not find this out. :-)

VERY EASY TO READ. I believe other people will be able to read it while I'm wearing it. LOL Pretty light pink/rose gold colors with plenty of holes that will adjust to almost any wrist size. I haven't worn a watch for a while, so it feels a tad heavy on my wrist, but I believe I will get used to it. It is bigger than any other watch I have ever owned. I was a little miffed when the watch came out of the box ticking. How long has it been ticking.? How long will it last? Anyway, I am keeping it to see how it works out. ... show more

So… some stats: chubby gal here with medium hands and small wrists. I have, so far, bought a Spiegel Scrub watch and a sporty Swatch. I took a picture with the watch on my wrist, as well as a side-by-side with a quarter on my wrist for reference since some people may not know how wide 38mm is. I’ve decided that, due to the small size of my wrists, I can’t go over 38mm on the dial (diameter). The Swatch was too small, but this watch and the Spiegel are just right at 38mm. What bothered me about the Spiegel were two things: The silicone strap was so thick that it was clunky and kept getting caught on different things. Not “caught“ the way a splinter catches something, but rather the material just drags along the surface of other things. I kept it, but have not fully enjoyed it. The other reason I don’t care as much for the Spiegel is that (my fault) I picked a black dial, which does not allow you to see much on it, except for the main hands. So, if you were trying to see military time (24 hour markings), at least for me, I could not see it, though it was in red. Come to this one now: the dial is easily readable, as are the 24 hour markers. However, I took off one star because it really is not as “luminous” as the description would have you believe, at least mine isn’t. Right after shining a light on it (like your phone, light or a flashlight), well YEAH, it’s luminous alright. But what’s the point? Isn’t the point that you want to look at it in the dark and see it without bothering to shine a light on it? I don’t know if others do a better job at it, maybe it’s just the way mine was manufactured. Overall, I am pleased. Will be traveling and did not want to put anything fancy on my wrist that would attract attention. This is sporty and clean. Oh, I almost forgot about the second thing I dislike about this watch and, it seems, ALL watches being shipped out: Why the heck don’t say pull out the tiny crown on the right, and STOP IT FROM RUNNING…??? If this was manufactured some time ago, I don’t give the battery much time before it dies. That is what happened to me with the Spiegel watch; a few months after wearing it, the battery died. However, when I contacted Spiegel, they had one at my door within a couple of days, and never asked me to return the other one. So, THEY do stand behind their word. Can’t say anything about this company yet, we will see. But it’s SO EASY to just stop it from ticking so that the battery does not get used up sitting in a warehouse. Is that too much to ask? 🤷♀️ Maybe it is as it probably involves an additional step and, therefore, labor. If you are a company that is mass-producing these by the thousands, I suppose that’s a step most will skip. The swatch (in blue) was a very nice watch. It was easy to read, also clean-looking and sporty. I just needed it to be a little bit bigger. The construction of the strap was better though. I LOVE this watch. It is durable; tough and has held up to my workplace and the Texas heat. It has gone thru the washing machine twice (my fault) and done a few minutes in the dryer as well. Still keeps time perfectly, no scratches, no water in case. Fits average to large wristed people; easy to read dial, glows in the dark!! Also has quality band, feels like a promotional silicome bracelet, does not make me sweat too much. The appearance is fairly gender neutral, could be worn by almost anyone. Haven't destroyed it yet despite harsh conditions at work/home. Will definitely purchase again and highly recommend. ... show more
