Does it do what it says? Kinda. If you are looking to convert your android-car play to wireless, this will do the job fairly well with minimal delay or loading. Great for anyone who wants hands-free use. When I turn on my car it takes about 10-20 seconds to load up and get ready to use. If I connect directly to my car using the normal port, I am connected in 5-10 seconds. My issues. While the YouTube and Netflix viewing work, it is a pain as you have to manually connect to a hot spot on your phone each time vs. this being automatic and able to use 4g on your cellphone. When watching and using my hotspot on my phone with full signal bars and perfect connection, I experience occasional lag and periods of simply freezing (non-loading). "My Google" features (using Android Auto) do not work when connected to this unit. They work perfectly when using my normal setup without this device. Does not connect using built-in vehicle AT & T hotspot. Summary - You can get much cheaper units giving you hands-free Android or Carplay without the streaming feature. Streaming ability is possible but just does not seem developed enough to work well and easily. What is nice about the device? Easy to setup, configure, and use. Seems sturdy and well-designed for layout. Easy to connect for main wireless use (not for streaming videos). Small and you can conceal the unit very easily just about anywhere you need. Has a USB C pass-through so you can connect a phone to charge the device at the same time. Comes with all cables needed for connection to the car and from device to phone. To make this product a perfect product. Needs to enable me to use my phone's 4g connection vs. a Wi-Fi hotspot that has to be connected each time I want to stream video. Ability to use AT&T vehicle built-in 4G wifi--hotspot. Does not seem compatible with mine. Fewer hiccups while streaming when a full signal is present. My unit tends to freeze during playback or lag significantly at random times. ... show more
