I waited to give my opinion on this head unit because I wanted to use it for a while before I gave my review... The first radio shipped was an open box when it got here and missing items... They Quickly replaced it and I was very satisfied...The instructions were very detailed and super easy to understand... I installed the radio with the main reason of wanting a back up camera and a detachable screen for security purposes... Ive had the screen in and out of an older f150 many many times and no problems at all with memory...starting up...radio presets....the time....or anything.. The radio brings in many stations my previous unit couldn't... No i did not changed antenna... The back up camera will come on every time its in reverse weather the head unit is on or off... Bluetooth works and is fast... Mirror function does work but seems like it needs updating or my phone is definitely outdated and needs updating so I cant say if its perfect or not... It does have a really good sound and the equalizer really helps dish out what ya need... It can get very loud but Im still working with stock speakers so they distort if too loud...The screen is big and easily adjusted... You can choose different colors or have it change random... It took me months to decide on a head unit and Im extremely happy with this one.... I love how the screen comes out of the unit itself... Its very strong and well made... The release buttons for the screen I would prefer them to go in like a sueezing option...but they spread apart.. Its ok once ya do it a few times and get used to it...but everything else is good to go.... I would definitely buy another to go in my girlfriends truck when time comes ... show more

Never worked right from the beginning. The screen would randomly shut off. I had to disconnect the screen and plug it back in to make it work again only to have it shut off in a few minutes. After about a month the touch screen stop responding to touch. It’s just a cheap piece of junk

    • Better than the name brands for less
I was in the market for a large 10 inch screen for my wifes blazer due to her being visually impaired. I ordered this unit with the expectations that it would be decent and get her by until I could save up for a 1000+ dollar pioneer equivalent. The install of this until was easy, and it felt surprisingly bulky and well made. The heatsink on the unit was a serious contender, probably due to its ability of having the onboard amplifier and driving such a large display, and supporting higher CPU functions like android auto and apple carplay. I was pleasantly surprised that this seemed to be built with actual engineering and care. As i fired this thing up for the first time, the display looked crisp. The UI of the unit was well layed out as well. The touchscreen was responsive. When i plugged in my Pixel 6xl phone, the android auto started up right away, and the functionality was snappy and perfect. We have 2 12" subwoofers and aftermarket speakers in her truck, and with some minimal adjustments they were sounding amazing again. Again, not a single miss from this unit thus far. We did not install the included backup camera, due to the vehicle already having one installed from the previous 6.5" unit that was in there. This radio plugged right in to the existing camera. The andriod auto functionality deserves almost its own review. The responsiveness of the unit, the ability to flawlessly move between apps without missing a beat, the quality of the music over bluetooth. Amazing. I didnt think there were radios like this at this price point. This thing is a gem. The only negative with this unit was me doubting it in the first place. This is a great unit for the price with a few drawbacks. Good 1. Screen is huge and really clear 2. CarPlay works and comes up when phone is plugged in by cable 3. Sound quality and volume is great 4. Up / down and left right / tilting of the screen is nice and holds in place 5. Tech support is fast 6. They were able to give me a custom splash screen that looks really nice when the unit boots up. 1. There is no way to move the unit vertically. It blocks some of the buttons on the dashboard in my car 2. No station or song information is displayed on the radio 3. I had to buy and extension cable for the rearview camera when installing on a SUV 4. I had to superglue the screws on the rearview camera to keep the camera from moving 5. Cable supplied with unit will not work with car play. ... show more
