We amazed to witness the beauty of the chair. It is a full sized and very comfortable patio chair. The assembly was easy and the instruction was clear. It took me only 10 mins to assemble. The quality of the chair is of high standard and the material used is sturdy. The only cons i found is it is heavy to move, but this is expected with the high quality chair and the material. We used the chair for about one month before writing the review and it also witnessed some rainy days and night while been in the open patio. Nothing happened to the quality and still very sturdy and the color is not faded. I will highly recommend this chair to everyone for a comfortable experience. ... show more

I bought this black Adirondack chair to compliment some black rocking chairs I have on my front porch. It matches very well and is aesthetically pleasing to look at. Assembly took a little bit of time as the directions were difficult to figure out, however, the back rest and the seat came preassembled which saved time. All the hardware was included so no additional tools were needed. The seat portion is very comfortable and wide enough for my large hips. The price point seems right on track for this quality of chair. The finish is really nice and makes for wiping off the dust and pollen an easy task. It is heavy duty and seems to be very sturdy. Beautiful, eye catching chair that is perfect for summertime relaxation and really comfortable. Easy to assemble, pretty sturdy and durable, material allows for little to no fading from sun, easy to wipe down and clean, very light but have enough weight that it should blow away with every day wind.

    • Great Replacement for Wooden Adirondack Chairs

I am slowly but surely replacing real wood Adirondack chairs with composite. Over the years I have spent more time and money stripping and refinishing the wooden chairs than a nice composite chair costs. I am D-U-N. Ha. That's my lead-in to telling you how much I like this Otsun composite Adirondack chair. I LOVE that the only maintenance required for this chair is wiping it down. The chair is made from composite materials that appear to be quite similar to my composite deck. The composite the chair is made from is a bit heavier/thicker because it does not have as much flex that my decking did (or does if not properly supported). That said, it does flex a bit more than traditional wood. This does not affect the comfort or sturdiness of the chair in any way. I got the navy blue chair which is more of what I would call a dark denim blue. The color goes all the way through the chair (not coated so you don't have to worry about scratching the color off). This chair was very easy to assemble... only 4 super long Allen head screws and 8 or 10 (can't remember) shorter screws. I actually used a driver to put the chair together which made it go much faster than using the included Allen wrench. That's it. I love it, I'm looking forward to never having to strip and refinish it, it is perfect for enjoying an evening (or a day) on my porch. ... show more

I really wanted to love this chair, but it has some issues. It's solid, looks nice, is comfy. However, it was a pain to assemble. The assembly is actually pretty simple, it's only a few steps and much of it is already pre-assembled, but the instructions were no good at all. Step 2 in particular was the difficult one. I threw out the instructions already, but I think it basically said something like "screw X into Y." The holes are not marked and I wasn't that familiar with which way was front and which way was back for the arms and which way was up or down for the seat part. I had to really study the drawing of the finished product to visualize where things go. And then, once I finally figured out where to screw it in, it was such a tight space, there wasn't enough room to turn the allen key around fully, so it was a tedious process. After I got step 2 figured out, though, it was quick to finish it up. And I was very happy with end product. It looks great and is comfortable. However, now, about a month later, the cross bar in the front is coming off, I think because there's not much for the screw to grip on to with this hard plastic (as compared to, say, wood). Sooo... Yeah, I love it, but am disappointed as well. Would I buy another one from this same brand? I would honestly probably shop around first and look for something better. ... show more

I love Adirondack chairs and this is a nice sturdy one! Firstly, it's very heavy, something that I wasn't so sure of when I ordered it since it's a plastic material. The pieces are solid, not hollow, and very wood-like. Thankfully, the pieces come partially assembled and, also thankfully, there are nice pictures in the description because I first tried to follow the printed directions that came with it and they were painfully unclear. If you look at the pieces, it's obvious what goes where, but the printed directions left me very confused. Once I put them aside, it was together in 10 minutes. The finished chair is very sturdy and comfortable, I spent many hours in it this weekend! This company should make a footrest in the navy color (I looked, there were only black, grey, white and light blue) those add comfort to this style chair. I only deducted the star because I hated the instructions so much (and I'm an experienced furniture assembler.) ... show more
