OTC's 5190A Heavy-Duty U-Joint Puller is the ideal tool for removing Heavy- Duty driveline U-Joints on Class 7 and 8 Trucks in conjunction with up to a 1 inch impact wrench -without the need for heat or hammering. Larger diameter threaded shaft can handle U-joints that are severely seized due to corrosion and require more force to disassemble. Major tool components are heat treated for improved strength and durability, ensuring a long, productive service life. Smooth, crisp threads allows for a lower, more consistent effort to rotate shaft. Will not damage the driveshaft, yoke, bearing cups, or joints. Designed for use on all Class 7 and 8 trucks, including a wide variety of drivelines from Spicer and Meritor, making shop operations more efficient and reducing cost. Anyone who works on heavy trucks and have to replace u joints should have this. Yes there are a lot of different ways to do the job and old timers will say you are wasting your money but when I brought this into work and blew the u joint out in a min with no effort I shocked all of them. It was worth every penny I spent on it. And I want to add I work on heavy trucks for the state so everything we own is covered and heavily corroded with salt and this took it out with no prob.     • Poor quality or isn't meant to work on all heavy truck drivelines.
Cup on puller did not have enough lip and legs would roll off u-joint on Spicer 250 series driveline. Had to modify cup off a regular 5190 to work on 5190A to keep it from rolling off u-joint. Not sure if the one I got was screwed up was suppose to be that way to accept an even larger driveline.

This thing is worth every penny. Have used it about 20 times now without issue. Keep the threads greased up and it should last a guy for a long time.
