I was hesitant to order after reading some reviews but decided I wanted something light weight, easy to carry to the park. So I took a chance. I’ve been using this lounger 3-4 days a week for a couple months now. For the price I’m very happy. I even use it at home on the deck. As far as sturdiness, I weigh about the rated weight limit for this chair. I sit down on it gently. I don’t just drop onto it. I also make sure it’s unfolded in the proper order, which isn’t tough. One leg, second leg, feet, then head. It unfolds in 5 seconds and sits solidly. I’ve never thought it would collapse under me. The ratchet mechanism for the incline has never failed. I wouldn’t mind having more angle options, but there are about 3 angles that I like and it meets my needs. I had a friend, who is well over the rated limit, use it once for an hour or so. Sat down slowly and had no issues. No damage or creaking. The feeling of the material is firm. It’s not a plush or soft seat. But it works for a couple hours. And the padding by the head helps. Being able to lay face down and having the special arm holes is very helpful. Overall I’d DEFINITELY buy it again. —————————— Update 8/17/19 Have had this chair all summer. Because of a medical condition, I spend 6-10 hours in this chair each day. I do get up and take short walks, stretch, etc. I weigh 215 lbs currently and the chair has held up to daily use. As I said before, the key is to open and close it in the correct order. That’s critical. But also easy. Also, I believe it helps that I lower myself gently into it. It’s been with me to parades, the beach, a concert, friends cookouts, and more. The only wear after such heavy daily use is that the fabric has a SLIGHT sag to it. It’s not enough that my body is hitting the support structure, but it may get there at some point. It’s probably more comfortable now that it does have a little give, than when new. Frankly, with hundreds of hours of use at this point, it could break today and it’d be money well spent. ... show more

I'm expecting lots of family over Memorial Day, so I purchased two of these Ostrich Chaise Lounge Beach Chair for Adults with Face Hole. They couldn't be more perfect! They are very attractive with wonderful features. The head cushion can be removed when you want to give your back a chance to soak up the sun's rays, and your head has a place to go, just like at a spa - what a great idea! I got the navy stiped chairs, and they are very elegant. The chairs are sturdy and unfold with ease. They have carrying straps which makes them very easy to move poolside. I'm very pleased. Plus, they came very well wrapped with directions on how to properly open and unfold the chairs. ... show more

This lounge chair is exactly-as-advertised. The arm holes/face hole allow you to read/study/whatever while tanning your back and legs. It folds down super easily, and pretty small. Face hole is slightly large, but solvable with a rolled-up towel. The big issue is you MUST get on and off in the middle section between the two legs. The lounger will tip every time if you shift your weight off the middle section. If you are prone to falling/lack cat-like agility, this isn't safe. This is obvi a flaw, but for the price and purpose, I still think this is good. ... show more

I bought the pink one for my daughter last summer. She loved it and looked comfortable so I decided to buy 2 more to use at the beach or take to pool when no chairs are available. We used at the beach and was so much more comfortable than laying on a blanket. We usually have chairs but you cannot lay on your stomach in the chairs. We had to park a block away and they were easy to carry with the strap not that heavy at all. Very sturdy and love the hole so your face is out and you can read a magazine or book while on your stomach without hurting your neck! Very easy to fold and unfold no issues! ... show more

I bought this chair despite the bad reviews, I’ve been looking and this one was the cheapest I could find. So far (I’ve had it a couple weeks) it’s awesome. I read the directions and fold/unfold like they say. I’m gentle when i lay down so it doesn’t rip. But it seems sturdy! The face hole is awesome, I can read my kindle and tan. It’s comfortable, light and easy to transport. I won’t leave it out in the sun when I’m not using it so the sun doesn’t damage it. But so far I’ve had luck with this chair.     • Not stable! Not a Prime item!!

I’m going to write a separate review after I see if this company will do the right thing, but so far they have not! Read the reviews. This chair is not stable, is not very wide. The pink one next to it is prime, purple one is not. Different return policies. They approved return because I sat in it and it tipped over after set up, can’t imagine how much worse it could have been in the sand. They approved return but you have to pay own shipping and then there are all these stipulations about them receiving the return. I have no control after the item leaves the post office what would happen to it . Read the return policy and be sure you choose prime shipped by prime not anyone else. They are making me pay shipping to return. Filed A to Z claim, now appealing that because they don’t understand that if it’s a quality issue, I shouldn’t have to pay to return. This puts a very bad taste in my mouth and a big lesson learned to read reviews and look for the prime check mark. ... show more
