Doesn't do well for crushing ice in the extra plastic container, the glass one is really heavy for an older person like myself to handle AND..... it is so very LOUD. It works well, just need ear plugs. :-)

    • NOT THE USUAL OSTER QUALITY
I’ve been using Oster blenders my entire life. I bought this one because the color matched my kitchen. I don’t like the way the power buttons are set up on the blender, and the speed switch feels flimsy and cheap. Also if you don’t line the blending jar up with the brackets in the top of the motor, the jar will rotate and shift with use, and come loose from the blade and washer. This means you'll wind up with half blended liquids all over the base, your kitchen counter and the floor. It's happened to me 3 times. I'm going to see if I can return it. Quality of this unit is not what Oster used to manufacture. :( ... show more

I only used it for 30 minutes and the engine went out. I have no idea how to get this blender replaced because I didn’t need it until months after I purchased it. So that’s $80 down the drain for me. Did I say 30 minutes of use, literally! That’s how poorly made this product is. Do not Waste your time on this purchase. Once you buy it they don’t even give you 30 minutes to change your mind either. Which made it double annoying that once I tried to start using it it did not last past 30 MINUTES! Smh ... show more
