    • A little over a quart of material
The quality of the LECA (Lightweight Expanded Clay Aggregate) pebbles was fine. A few were broken, but that's to be expected. Also, I did in fact receive a bit over 2lbs, so I was not technically shorted. However, I was unpleasantly surprised by the volume. For $15.99 I received just over a quart of material (I filled a quart mason jar and had about 20 pebbles left over). Normally I buy this type of material from Josh's Frogs (a Michigan company that specializes in dart frogs and vivarium supplies) but I ordered from Amazon to avoid paying shipping. Josh sells 5 quarts of "false bottom" material (same concept: lightweight material to promote drainage while aiding moisture retention) for $8. So, for the same price I could have gotten ten times as much material (plus shipping). Lesson learned, fool me once... ... show more

I really liked this medium, i didn't know what to expect since it was my first time ordering this, but I was able to fill up 6 four inch self watering pots with a 2 pound bag! Absolutely impressed, did wash it before hand!

Love these as reusable media for my orchids that don't want to stay too wet. The bag was a little Dusty but most of the pebbless are intact.

Love this leca product, but never expected such a small bag. I expected same as previous order. To expensive for such a small bag.

    • Ok. But wish the sizes were all the same
There are too many small pieces. Was hoping for a more uniform size. I use them instead of dirt to hold plants in place and wish there weren't so many little ones that fall thru the nets

I’m using my leca for semi hydro orchid growing. I ordered the Xl size which were great for the larger plants but I’m going to put an order in for the smaller size for the rest of the orchids.
