The big thing I look for in a grip handle is that the grips rotate smoothly. These are about the smoothest ones I've ever used. These are as smooth as my favorite pair (number 1 in pic) that I've had for decades. Way smoother than the other two (numbers 3 and 4) I also like that one side is open, there are times when that makes a difference. While not as heavy as my number one's - I do not see any strength issues with these. Now getting real picky, I do prefer the clip connector vs the screw type connector, If you only had one set of cables to connect these to this would be fine, But I am always connecting and disconnecting them, Fortunately I have plenty of the clips so this is not an issue. The other thing I would have preferred would be a wider grip, I have large hands and I would prefer a grip a little wider. like my number ones. The grip does have a slight cushion to it and is very comfortable. Overall a real good quality set. While they are slightly more expensive than most grips but I personally think they are worth it, Grips are something you should have to buy only once, do it right and spend the little extra. ... show more

The grips have a nice rubber texture although are probably better for medium or small sized hands. Being inline with the anchor these have a balanced feel throughout the motion. The D rings look a little small but are probably more than enough for body weight plus a little extra.
