I myself was 300lbs at the beginning, of course timid about structural integrity, the machine performed with no problems. Of course treating it with respect and using it only as intended. The Total Gym makes it so much fun to work out…and I am NOT the kind of girl who likes to work out! Following the instructions on the cards, it was easy to get the exercises downloaded to my muscle memory banks. From there, I just mix and match exercises depending on what I’m in the mood for. If you prefer a more structured work out (not for me), there are plenty of routines to choose from in the deck of exercise cards. This quality piece of equipment makes in fun and easy to improve your strength and overall fitness in a short amount of time. The total gym is so great. I couldn’t afford one online from their website but this one was affordable at under $500 with all the props. As I have disabling conditions that no longer allow me to work out the way I used to, this thing relieves my pressure on my body and allows me a full workout with full range of motion pain free. I loved the cards that showed you levels to work for and the repetitions necessary to reach goals that you have set for yourself. They mount right where you can see them. I am a young 69 and I love being able to strengthen and tone without leaving my home. I had knee replacements and this system helps me to maintain the limited mobility that I currently have. I was skeptical at first, but everything works, and it came with workout programs and DVDs. It is pretty heavy; I recommend two people to set it up. I did it by myself, but it took me some time.
