  • Worked well for a big guy
Color: Coyote Brown
I'm 6'3" and 250+ lbs. Several reviews suggest that the suspension is weak or the cords too short. I replaced them with 1/8 inch shock cord and eliminated any problems. This is an underquilt, not a hammock. It isn't intended to hold a person's weight. It's purpose is to fit beneath the hammock to hold in heat. The OneTigris underquilt is big enough to cover my under regions while lying in a 12 foot hammock on a diagonal lay. Temps got down to about 57 degrees one evening on a hang and I was comfortable with only a cotton bed sheet on top of me. I did this intentionally to see how well the UQ would work. After about 2 hrs we had to leave; something more substantial would have been required on top of me to stay comfortable all night but the UQ did it's job for the time we were there. One part of my foot was not protected by the UQ, most likely a sleeping bag or overquilt would have taken care of that in a real overnight situation. With that being said, this item could benefit from being a few inches wider on the sides, particularly at the ends. But we hammockers tend to make/modify gear anyhow so adding a side piece or even an extra layer of insulation inside the UQ to lower the temperature rating is doable and probably more effective than a 'one size fits all' solution from the manufacturer. Overall, this item is effective and a good value. ... show more

  • So far, so good!
Color: Coyote Brown
Set this up last night and was comfortable all night! Easy to set up. It's not as big as the hammock, so about 4 inches short on the sides, but that really doesn't matter. My back is warm now, which was not the case without this.

  • Effective and Packable, But Not Waterproof
Color: Camo
I recently tried the Hammock Underquilt, and while it had some drawbacks, it proved to be a valuable addition to my cold-weather camping gear. One of the standout features of this underquilt is its impressive packability. It folds down into a compact size, making it easy to carry and store. Setting it up under my hammock was a breeze, and it provided substantial insulation without adding significant bulk or weight to my backpack. However, it's important to note that this underquilt is not waterproof. During use, I experienced some moisture absorption in damp conditions. While this may not be a dealbreaker for some users, those expecting water resistance should be cautious. On the positive side, the underquilt demonstrated remarkable warmth. I tested it in 30°F weather with a Teton Trailhead sleeping bag (survival rated for 20°F) and an additional Oaskys sleeping bag. Wearing a puffy jacket and using handwarmers, I felt comfortably warm throughout the night. The underquilt effectively trapped heat, contributing to a cozy and insulated sleeping environment. While the Hammock Underquilt proved effective in keeping me warm during chilly nights, it's worth noting a couple of limitations. The underquilt is designed for a single hammock, and its dimensions may not be as accommodating for those who prefer to sleep diagonally. I found that attempting to sleep diagonally caused some tightness around the head and calf areas. This could be a consideration for individuals who value the freedom of movement and prefer a more level sleeping arrangement. However, for users who are comfortable with a snugger fit or have a narrower hammock, the underquilt's insulation capabilities might outweigh this constraint. Despite the lack of waterproofing, if you're mindful of weather conditions and prioritize warmth, this underquilt can be a valuable asset. Its compact design makes it suitable for backpacking trips where space is at a premium. Just be sure to pair it with additional weather protection if rain is in the forecast. Overall, I found it to be a practical choice for cold-weather hammock camping. ... show more

  • Am affordable underquilt!
Color: Camo
It works perfectly as a 3 season UNDERQUILT for a hammock. It is NOT a hammock!! I was even able to use it with my Anymaka hammock stand and single 11' hammock. So very pleased with how well it works!

  • Great addition to my camping gear!
Color: Camo
I needed an underquilt for those cooler nights for when my sleeping bag doesn't work. This definitely holds in the body heat! Combined with my sleeping bag on a 40 degree night, I was quite toasty and warm. It's easy to use and packs up nicely in the carry bag. It's lightweight and I can easily carry it on my hiking backpack via a carabiner clip or on the bottom straps. Would definitely recommend it for hammock camping! ... show more

  • Dependable warmth in a cold night
Color: Camo
The media could not be loaded. I am a long time hammock camper. In Alabama we rarely need an underquilt, but I purchased this one to expand my camping opportunities and this if my Scouts. This week I spent 2 nights in my hammock. One night it was 26 Degrees Fahrenheit and the next it was 30. Both nights I was quite comfortable. This was during the January 2025 snowstorm in the southeast, US. My sleeping bag was a 15 degree Outdoor Vitals bag, just to let you know what other gear was involved. If you will hammock camp in the cold, an underquilt is a MUST. Otherwise your weight compressing your sleeping bag negates and insulation beneath you. I am quite happy with this one. As my son said, this underquilt is a game-changer. ... show more

  • Keeps us warm in winter!
Color: Coyote Brown
My partner and I got this so we could go hammock even after it got cold and we're always surprised at how warm it keeps us! Writing this from the hammock and its 37 degrees outside and we're cozy as can be with this underquilt and a fleece blanket! Definitely worth it it makes a HUGE difference vs. just a hammock and no underquilt. ... show more
