The window screen is fantastic once you get it installed. Excellent privacy and heat reduction. Installation is difficult. I did it by myself with a $5 squeegee and a $7 car tint kit that had a hard card and a utility knife. Installation would have been impossible without these tools. Highly recommend installing this with a second person, as the film is unwieldy. Highly recommend turning off all fans, as if any dust or dog hair catches onto the screen, you will not be able to get it off. Buy a little extra film, and practice on a small window or area before applying. Watch a few Youtube videos for pointers, and use excessive amounts of water. ... show more

The adhesion is quite sticky once the protective film is removed. The sticky side goes on the window; instructions don't say that. I recommend using copious amounts of soapy water for the application as well. Don't wipe immediately all the water as the instructions imply. Wait about five or six hours and then go back over the film and smooth things out; works better that way. I used this on the three windows that get the most heat of the day. I noticed that it wasn't as toasty in that area around 7pm. It doesn't reduce the amount of light, but does provide enough to keep curtains opens. You can see out but nosey neighbors can't see in. I have weird shaped windows; original windows from the 60s on my home, so fitting the film to the windows took some creative thought. There was an overlap of film, so I used a straight edged razor to cut things down to make the film fit. Looks good; can't even tell there is a film on the windows from the outside. Can't keep from wrinkling. Yes, I followed the directions Yes, I went back over it the next day. Yes, I still have visible creases. No terrible optical distortion of the outside world. Very thin, not so easy to work with. Looks unprofessional and pathetically DIY in the bad way. Next time I might try NOT removing the clear backing, just to give it some heft and reduce the inherent creasiness. ... show more

I have a large bath room window that unfortunately is exposed to the sun all afternoon an until the sunset sets. This room gets UNCOMFORTABLY HOT in the afternoons of course. So I figured I would try this product as its priced right. What a DIFFERENCE this has made in the heat. It had to drop the temperature in the bath room by at least 15-20 degrees! This is very difficult to work with if you are doing a large window or patio door. Once you finally are able to remove the backer paper, spray the film and spray the window, anything floating in the air is going to get stuck to the window side of the film. AND cutting it to fit is extremely difficult. If you lay it on the floor, static cling will draw hair and dust onto the film. The backer paper should have some sort of grid lines for ease of measuring and cutting. This stuff doesn't. Once the film was finally up on the window, squeegeeing the excess water was simple enough, but you could still see the particles between glass and film. When the film was in place, any additional cutting for fit was almost impossible to do, even with a brand new blade. The film is thicker than others I've used. I used a metal straight edge and when cutting the film along the trim line, the above photos are the results. I have used window film on a few windows in my house and this was the most diffcult to work with. I give the product 3 stars because I think the blocking of UV rays is pretty good, but getting it on the windows is what lowers the raiting. ... show more

It was a little bit tricky to install, however, if there were two people, it would make it a lot easier. Getting the air bubbles out is kind of difficult, but you can work on that some more of the following day. I have a west facing window that gets direct sunlight all afternoon and this tint really cut down on the heat a lot.     • Easy install. Not enough for price. Installment instructions are backward.

The media could not be loaded. UPDATE: I bought another roll and while I was putting it on I realized I should be applying this from the outside. So basically anyone can still see inside my room but I cannot see outside when it should be the opposite based off the product description. Now I’m not too worried about that part, but will this product truly work if it’s not being on the right way? I gave it two stars. I’m disappointed of what is being advertised vs the actual installment process and outcome. I feel like I’d need to install another wrap from the outside to truly get the effect I am going for. I hope it works in the heart and lessons the sun exposure as that’s what I originally bought it for. But if it’s not on correctly, I don’t know how well it will work. ORIGINAL: The install was extremely easy it did take two people but I really liked how seamless it went on. I am quite disappointed that I paid $30 and it covered one window. I have to buy another roll to cover the other window and the amount that’s left over is a really awkward amount that was only going to cover six of the eight squares on my window. so definitely measure your windows to make sure that you measure your windows to make sure you are purchasing the correct amount. ... show more

Used this to block damaging sun rays and heat in small closet windows. Application instead easy but they say apply a lot of soapy water and portion control seemed off. They slipped a lot and had bubbles so I had to keep working it out with a squeegee. Took longer than expected but now that they are in place, it is noticeably cooler in the closet (despite 100 degree temps.). Effort was worth it. ... show more
