  • They worked perfectly!
I picked these up to make sure I had the right tool to use to wind my garage door springs, and they worked perfectly. The grips make them easy to use, and they are exactly the right size and strength to wind my garage door torsion springs.

  • Product works perfectly for a great price
Had to adjust the pulleys for my garage door, which first requires removing tension on the torsion spring. These tools did the job perfectly, for a significantly reduced price over hiring the garage door repairman. However, a warning: if you don't have experience with making these repairs, consider the risks! Be careful and set up a backup system to ensure your safety during this process. • My Garage Door Finally Thinks I'm Her Trainer (Thanks, KaiMinDogz!)
Let's be honest, my relationship with my garage door was a mess. It would groan, screech, and take forever to open, leaving me with a symphony of complaints from impatient teenagers. I tried everything - WD-40 baths, motivational speeches, even leaving tiny garage door-shaped cookies (don't judge). Then, I found the KaiMinDogz Torsion Spring Winding Rods. These bad boys are like magic wands for your garage door. They're hefty and impressive-looking, like the kind of tool a superhero would use to fix a broken Batcave door. The non-slip handles mean I wasn't wrestling the rods along with my stubborn garage door. In minutes, I had that sucker balanced and moving smoother than a roller skater on a disco floor. Now, my garage door opens with a purr that would make a cat jealous. The teenagers are speechless (a minor miracle), and I finally feel like I've tamed the beast. If you're tired of your garage door acting like a rebellious teenager, look no further than the KaiMinDogz Winding Rods. They'll turn you into the garage door whisperer in no time, with bonus points for feeling like a total garage door guru. Just don't be surprised if your neighbors start asking you to fix their doors too - with this much power comes great responsibility! ... show more

  • Worked perfectly
Wprked perfectly to install new spring, mine was a .262x2x36" spring so took quite a lot of force to tension. These fit snug and didn't give me any doubt that I could get the job done safely. May be a tool the average DIY person will rarely use but for the price and piece of mind when installing a torsion spring they're absolutely worth ordering. ... show more

  • Worked fine.
You never want to buy a tool you're only going to use once, unless, of course, the option is to pay a garage door company way too much to do the simple job for you. So, being 70 years old, I marked the tool well before I put it away in my garage so my children would someday know what it is. Garage door is working great now that I have released the extra tension on the garage door spring. (Installed with too much tension 5 years ago when we had the garage built.) ... show more
