Wprked perfectly to install new spring, mine was a .262x2x36" spring so took quite a lot of force to tension. These fit snug and didn't give me any doubt that I could get the job done safely. May be a tool the average DIY person will rarely use but for the price and piece of mind when installing a torsion spring they're absolutely worth ordering. ... show more

You never want to buy a tool you're only going to use once, unless, of course, the option is to pay a garage door company way too much to do the simple job for you. So, being 70 years old, I marked the tool well before I put it away in my garage so my children would someday know what it is.
