Overall I love the tree and so does Butterscotch. It’s sturdy and easy to clean compared to a cardboard cat tree. Plus it looks like art in my living room. Here’s a summary of the things I struggled with, see below for details Stability: I had to hide a piece of folded cloth under one side of the base to get the tree to not wobble when the cat jumps into it (see below for details). Comfort: The pre-assembled leaves are great but I did have to remove a lot of them to get my cat to use the tree. Once he got comfortable with the tree I was able to add back some of the leaves, but the branches are too stiff or prickly for him to push past them so I had to leave some of them off. Size: my cat is 11-12 lbs and is very long lol so the top shelf is too small for him to use. See the pictures I added for help in visualizing how much space it takes up Details: I’m 5’1 and not very strong and was able to build this myself in maybe 45-60min with my cat distracting me by being cute playing in the leaves along the way. The heaviest part of the tree is the base, and I could lift it just fine. The hardest parts of assembly were adjusting the base screws so that it would stand flat/not wobble and installing the last part of the trunk. The base comes with screws that have rubber heads attached to give it grip on the floor I assume. The problem is that if one of the screws is even a little off compared to the others the tree will wobble! I eventually had to put a folded cloth under one side of the tree because I got tired of adjusting the screws. Then the last trunk and shelf: There wasn’t enough of the inner pole left to fit the last trunk section over, which meant I couldn’t install the last shelf. I had to take it apart and loosen several of the inner rods to regain height, which made me worry about the stability again. But once it came together it looked great and was surprisingly stable. Sturdiness: I lost maybe 2 leaves in the assembly process, but after that the tree has remained intact. It holds up to being jumped on to by my cat, the shelves are super sturdy. Butterscotch likes to lounge in it and watch the birds from behind the leaves. It’s so cute when I find him napping in the tree or on the base. Because he loves it so much and it looks so good in my space I’m willing to overlook the few problems I had with assembly and give it a 5 star rating ... show more

I really liked this tree and so do my 3 cats. It was very easy to install and looks so cool. My cats love to hide in the leaves and attack each other from seperate perches. Before it was even put together I couldn't keep them off of it. But I was a little disappointed that right out of the box a few of the holes where the stems connect were already breaking as seen in the photos. It may have been from me trying to seperate the platforms from where all the leaves had been smashed together and difficult to seperate easily because they had pre-assembled the leaves and platforms. However as seen with the arrow in my photo my 4 lb kitten (obviously not the one in the photo 🤣) jumped and landed on a branch and the plastic clasp bent and smashed the edge of the composit wood off. I will say i hate the plastic clasps. They are very flimsy and break easily. Most were bent right out of the box. I will say for paying over $100 for this tree I dont want the edges of the boards to break so easily and clasps to bend apart. I think if the platforms were make out of real wood or plywood that this wouldn't be an issue. I think if the clasps that hold the branches were a thin metal they would work better. And if they shipped it so that none of the branches were assembled and you had to put them all together yourself i dont think there would be as much damage done to the holes and edges of the board. But i like the concept just could use some improvements. My cats love it just not sure how long it will hold up. ... show more

Easy to put together, sturdy, and unless your cat weighs 30 pounds, it's really stable. I was a bit worried after reading some reviews that this wasn't the most stable cat tree/tower. But after opening up the box, feeling the weight of the base and tightly assembling the levels, I can see my worries were based on someone else's inability to follow BASIC instructions. Everything was as described and the "tree branches" are adjustable so you make openings for the cat to move from level to level pretty easily. I did offset the levels a bit so she can move up with some cover so the GSD doesn't sniffing her tucus the whole way. (The ovals have notches cut out) It's purrfect for hiding with some nip and silvervine powder. Now it's a matter of seeing how long it lasts and how well the leaves stay on the branches. ... show more

I got this for I set a fire to my kitchen, yes I did as I have ADHD and that was to happen at some point in my life. But any ways, since I will be putting my house on the market soon. I do not want real plants in the kitchen, I like to keep newly painted walls looking new and the new curtains looking new. I always have big plants in the kitchen as I got big windows and a sliding glass door. I hunted something down for the cat like some kind of cat tree that looks like a real tree. Found this thing, I will tell you this, it needs to be mounted to the floor or something. I have gym weights I have placed on the fake grass for now and that works so it not tip over. ... show more

It's a cheaply made item that might not last to long. The kitten seems to like it however the more mature cat doesn't seem to care for it. The tower pieces dont get tight and just keep splinning. Its bounced around with concern it would fall when the cat jumped out of second tier. The pieces that hold the plastic leaves to the base are cheap and don't hold very well. They keep falling out.
