Overall I love the tree and so does Butterscotch. It’s sturdy and easy to clean compared to a cardboard cat tree. Plus it looks like art in my living room. Here’s a summary of the things I struggled with, see below for details Stability: I had to hide a piece of folded cloth under one side of the base to get the tree to not wobble when the cat jumps into it (see below for details). Comfort: The pre-assembled leaves are great but I did have to remove a lot of them to get my cat to use the tree. Once he got comfortable with the tree I was able to add back some of the leaves, but the branches are too stiff or prickly for him to push past them so I had to leave some of them off. Size: my cat is 11-12 lbs and is very long lol so the top shelf is too small for him to use. See the pictures I added for help in visualizing how much space it takes up Details: I’m 5’1 and not very strong and was able to build this myself in maybe 45-60min with my cat distracting me by being cute playing in the leaves along the way. The heaviest part of the tree is the base, and I could lift it just fine. The hardest parts of assembly were adjusting the base screws so that it would stand flat/not wobble and installing the last part of the trunk. The base comes with screws that have rubber heads attached to give it grip on the floor I assume. The problem is that if one of the screws is even a little off compared to the others the tree will wobble! I eventually had to put a folded cloth under one side of the tree because I got tired of adjusting the screws. Then the last trunk and shelf: There wasn’t enough of the inner pole left to fit the last trunk section over, which meant I couldn’t install the last shelf. I had to take it apart and loosen several of the inner rods to regain height, which made me worry about the stability again. But once it came together it looked great and was surprisingly stable. Sturdiness: I lost maybe 2 leaves in the assembly process, but after that the tree has remained intact. It holds up to being jumped on to by my cat, the shelves are super sturdy. Butterscotch likes to lounge in it and watch the birds from behind the leaves. It’s so cute when I find him napping in the tree or on the base. Because he loves it so much and it looks so good in my space I’m willing to overlook the few problems I had with assembly and give it a 5 star rating ... show more

My cats love this tree. They like to hide in there, and seem to think I don't see them, haha. It looks really cute and is very easy to assemble. My only criticism is that sometimes the branches come off and I have to put them back in. In all fairness, my cats play rough and jump in and out of the tree at fast speeds, and I have one cat that likes to bite on things, including the branches....however, I do wish that they were more sturdy, but it's still a tree that they, and I, love! ... show more

**Update** I'm still loving this cat tree, but it's worth noting that the limbs just simply do not remain in their little sockets very well. One of my cats has claimed the tree as hers - she's a small cat that loves darting in & out of the limbs, which has resulted in me finding fallen limbs on a daily basis. I did however find a solution to the problem by adding a drop of hot glue to each socket and pressing the limbs into place. Only 2 have come loose after several weeks, which I attribute to me having not applied enough hot glue to those particular limbs. It's a little time consuming and certainly disappointing that this is necessary, but it was worth the effort in my opinion. I recommend you save yourself the time & trouble and hot glue them upon first assembly. :) ***************************************** I bought this several months in anticipation of putting it out for my 3 cats in the master bedroom once some renovations we were having done were complete. Instead of the usual carpet tower, I wanted something that my cats could climb on that also looked a bit more like decor and this pretty much nailed it. Simple to assemble and quite sturdy & my cats immediately took to it. It is worth noting that the limbs can pop out of their little sockets when the cats are actively playing in the tree rather than doing what they do most of the time in it, which is sleep. I'm not sure how well the little plastic limb sockets are going to hold up after repeatedly popping them back into place, but it's not that big of a deal so far. So far, it looks great and serves its intended purpose for the cats and I'm very satisfied with my purchase. ... show more

•Easy to put together: it took around 15 minutes to be done. •Light weight but sturdy: my 10lb cat jumps on and off this tree and does not tilt at all. The cat also plays really rough and yet the leaves and structure remain unbothered. It is the best option of a cat tree I’ve bought, my cat is really picky and doesn’t stick around for long to his toys and scratchers and yet this one is THE ONE. The leaves seem easy to change in case you guys wanna change the color, and you can fluff it up as needed, even after a rough play session, the branches are resistant to those bunny kicks cats do. I really regret not buying the taller one, because it is wonderful. Also, if you guys have plants or plant decor around your house this is a great distraction for the cats, it keeps them away from my house plants since they can mess around this plant looking thing without getting in trouble. ... show more
