Unless you’re using them to cut a small lock (I emphasize the word small) do you want going to be cutting much of anything with them. My first time ever using them, due to the softness and weak points of the folding arms, they just break.

With a bit of (b)aint this thing is perfect. Slices through bolts and metal like youd expect and folds up nice enough to fit in a back of a plate carrier pouch. Just needs to be a better color, which is easily remedied with a little rattle can.

This is a really good tool, I used it to cut 3/16 marine 1x19 stainless wire and it cut it easily, no dents made on the blades.

I have used Bolt cutters before, I needed a new one and thought this unit looked well designed and good for what I needed one for. I hadn't tried it when first received and today I decided to test it out. OMG I realized this cannot even oven enough to create a gap to even grasp a store room padlock! Its clumsy and inadequate and wished I could return it for one that actually works...poor instructions on usage..biggest selling point was foldable which still doesn't make the tool work..ugh ... show more

As a trucker, we cut bolts every once in awhile. These 18” will work, but after a dozen bolts, I’m going to buy the 24” model. The 18” is simply too short. You really have to torque down on the 18” until POW! it cuts through and everything goes flying. I’ve been using longer handle models at receivers in order to avoid using my 18” model and it’s simply smoother. ... show more
