We are so excited about this TV stand with the fireplace. You can change the colors of the flames. You can also change the color of the lights. You can rotate the lights and the flames. It puts out pretty darn good heat. The main thing is the quality of this TV stand, it is so sturdy! The doors don't slam closed, they have the slow closing mechanism. The directions were easy to follow. Although it is time consuming to put together! There are a ton of pieces and this is going to take some time to put together. We added extra wood glue to ensure it would stay together well. Everybody compliments this piece of furniture! It's gorgeous, well built and we're happy with it! ... show more

I am mechanically inclined and own all the tools necessary to build a house. However, reading that other people completed the assembly of this product within 2 hours is not true. It's not about strength or ego, it's about time. The number of panels, pieces, and attachments, must be close to 300 items. Unloading the two very large boxes that weigh one hundred pounds each will take at least an hour! I was able to assemble the entire TV stand by myself, but it casually took me 2 hours per day for about 3 days. With that said, I have a perfectly constructed TV stand without a single scratch or crooked drawer, which is important to me. I have hardwood floors so I was able to benefit by sticking 1" round felt sliders along the bottom during assembly. This enables me to "easily" push a two-hundred-pound piece of furniture with ease. I strongly recommend a power screwdriver that limits the torque so you don't blow through the pre-drilled holes. Yes, all of the panels are made from weak, composite wood, but when fully assembled properly the item is nearly a bulletproof beast. The heater works so well that if you hold your hand up the the vent within 6 inches, you will have 3rd degree burns within 5-10 seconds! Very dangerous if you have young kids. Fortunately, there is a built-in thermostat and timer for the heater that you can control. The lighting feature is fantastic. You can separately change the color and height of the flame, independent of the fake crystal rocks and side cabinet shelves. Overall, I am very satisfied with my purchase. If there is a downside, it's the amount of time and space needed to build this product. ... show more

My wife and I just got done putting this together. As most others have noted, it is a bit time consuming. It probably took us about 5 hours to assemble. The instructions for the console itself were very clear and easy to follow. The unit is also sturdy when completed. It's a good looking piece of furniture to add to your living space. The problem with the firebox is that they don't tell you how to insert the crystals behind the glass. Several people in these reviews have noted that very thing. However I couldn't find any reviews that explained how they solved their problem. It's actually very easy once you figure it out. But I'll save you the 20 minutes that it took me to figure it out. On the back of the frame that surrounds the glass there are 4 screws. 1 on the top and 1 on the bottom of the left side and the same thing for the right side. Just take out those 4 screws and that will separate the glass frame from the body of the firebox. Insert the crystals and re-attach the glass and frame and you're pretty much ready to insert the firebox into the console. As I said a nice, sturdy, well-made piece of furniture that we hope to enjoy for years to come. We spent a lot of time looking at different fireplaces and we are happy that we settled on this one. ... show more

This fireplace looks like it came from a furniture store (which is great in my opinion). However, it did take me 8 hours to put together (time starting from unloading the boxes). It is very sturdy and has lots of great functional storage spaces. A lot of reviews mention there are no directions on how to insert the acrylic crystals into the fireplace, BUT THERE IS! It is not in the assembly manual as you would think, but instead is in the Fireplace Homeowner's Manual (hope this helps). Overall, I love the look of tv stand. My only criticisms is that there is a small gap between the top piece of wood and the small wood piece that separates the middle of the space directly below the top (this may be user error). Also, the cabinet door hinges make the doors scrape against the wood instead of opening flush (again, may be user error). ... show more

Absolutely gorgeous. Came in 2 different boxes - both of my boxes came together at the same time. Shipping was fast. No damages or defects. Assembly took me about 3 hours by myself. Instructions were clear. The only step missing from the instructions is how to place the acrylic rocks - I just unscrewed two screws from behind the front lip of the fireplace separating the glass from the frame and was able to lay the rocks and screw the glass back into place. The unit is extremely heavy and sturdy. Shelves are tempered glass. Love the drawer storage space. Lots of options to change the color of the flames and the color of the rocks and shelf lights. Comes with a remote. Fireplace does have actual heating ability as well. This is well worth the money. ... show more
