As TVs get bigger, so too do the needs of my electric fireplace. After looking at many options we decided on this one because of the way the fireplace protrudes outward in front (IE not flush with the rest of the stand) - Having glass not only on the front, but also on both sides give it a very luxurious look. The packaging was VERY IMPRESSIVE. Normally I worry about stuff like this getting damaged, but wow, they really know how to protect these things - so no issues with damage. Material feels solid (I think both boxes was like 170lbs) and it looks beautiful. Puts off a good amount of heat, and the ability to change the colors to several options is pretty cool. I only have one minor complaint. There are no inserts to cover up the 5 holes (2 on each side and one in the middle - which you can see in the picture) - I guess you just need to put stuff in/around to hide the holes if you aren't running cables through them. Instructions were easy enough to follow and my wife actually assembled most of it without requiring much help. Bottom line is if you've got a big room / big TV, you can't go wrong with this! ... show more

It took a long time to put together. Better if you have help. But I did it by myself in about 6 hours. Im not the type to put thi gs together, i usually get someone else to do it. The person asked was taking too long and the boxes it came in takes up space. It's a lovely edition to my living room. The heater works great with multiple heat settings and you can set the time on The heater. Also the flames come i. Several colors and level options. Yes I recommend this product.     • Great Fireplace for the Price

I'm very happy with this fireplace that we ordered for my home office. It can be used as an entertainment center but I'm using it to store books and it is great to sit in front of to read or relax. I was really impressed by the look of it, because it is so inexpensive as far as faux fireplaces go I was worried it wouldn't look as nice as it does in the picture but it looks great! It is at least mostly not real wood, mostly plywood but still looks good and feels sturdy. The "fire" is not very realistic looking but the logs look nice and I still love it, so do my cat and dogs, who love to sit in front of it. It does have heat and does a great job of making our office nice and toasty. There is a sound when the heater is on, but there is an option to display the fire (in many colors) without the heat as well. The sound is not too loud and is kind of like a fan or white noise so I don't mind it. It took me and my boyfriend about an hour to put this together. There were a lot of parts but everything that was supposed to be there was included and all the pre-drilled holes were good and lined up like they were supposed to so assembly wasn't an issue, just a bit tedious, but well worth it! It does get shipped in two separate boxes, which I didn't know at first, so I was a little confused when only one box showed up at first and was labeled as box A. Amazon said it had been delivered so I was a bit nervous the second box had been forgotten or lost but it showed up separately the next day. It would be nice if they let you know the shipping information for each box but it all turned out fine. I did contact the seller about it at first to find out and they answered me promptly. Bought this on sale and didn't assemble it for a few weeks. The instructions were mostly graphics of the parts and where they fit. Pretty easy to understand. I highly recommend familiarizing yourself with them beforehand and laying out the parts where they can be readily identified and accessed. All the parts were in the boxes, packed well, and in good shape. I did use Gorilla Wood glue on the dowels. The "fireplace" comes in a different box and there is no assembly required. It fits in ftom the back and there are braces to attach to the back at each corner to keep it in place. The heater is rated at 950 and 1450 watts I believe. Since I had new remodeling where this was to go I put in a dedicated 20 amp circuit for the fireplace feature. It easily holds a 65 inch tv and the height is such that your looking straight ahead to see it rather comfortably. It gives a really nice ambience and the remote works well. Normal viewing makes it look real enough excepting for the colors and you might find yourself surprised it doesn't give off heat unless you have that feature engaged. I'm glad I bought this and easily recommend it to anyone who has the space. ... show more

I absolutely love this fireplace. Its nice and sturdy, with clear directions on putting this together. I have my 13 and 16 year old sons assemble it, so it's not that difficult. Fits perfectly in my space.
