There are many reasons I picked this media unit and they were all met. The navy blue is very nice if you like a pop of color in your space. The options to change the colors of the lighting is fun. I bought this item for my teen daughter. To give her a fun setting to hang out with her friends, however, I like it a lot as well. As a resident of Texas, cold weather is usually not an issue. We had a freeze a few years ago, the heater in this unit would have come in handy. The instructions state the room size it can heat. I haven’t tested it long enough to heat a room (again Texas), but just turning it on to test the heat function worked great. Our room size is 14 x 12.5 and the size of the cabinet is perfect. The shelves are adjustable if you have taller electronics or decorations. We have a few (probably older) DVD players that would not fit on the shelf due to the width (left to right). Inside lighted shelf is approx. 16.25 inches wide. Wider electronics can sit on the top. The instructions are simple, but take your time. I had a 17 year old put it together. Needed a new TV stand and a heater for my bedroom, this solved both needs! Let me start by saying this thing is built solid. Yes it is particle wood, but not the thin flimsy kind, most of the pieces are about an inch thick with metal inserts, and it has a metal frame on the bottom. Getting the boxes (there are 3 inside the one in ships in) was not fun by myself, but do-able. There was not much damage on the outside box, so I was unpleasantly suprised to find damage on the inside boxes. Despite how they looked, and the fact the hardware blister pack had opened (washers and the metal pegs were everywhere, but none missing thankfully) there was only some minor damage to the bottom of the bottom piece, and some dents in the heater insert. Nothing that affects functionality or that is even see able once it was all put together. It heats my bedroom well, and is very nice to look at as well. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This fireplace tv stand is absolutely gorgeous. Is well built and I'm loving the different colors you can choose from also the heat works great. It took a while to put but together but it was worth it.

I love this thing so much!! The heater works really well and lets you pick the heat anywhere from 64-82 (maybe 84?) degrees Fahrenheit. There's also a setting where you can turn off the heat and just have the fire on. It took about 3-4 hours for my husband and I to assemble and we definitely needed to buy more wood glue. The instructions were super clear and it feels really sturdy. The colors are preset, but super pretty. Totally worth the money! ... show more

I waited literally 10 months with this on my droplist waiting for the price to come down. My TV quit and I had to purchase a new one and I thought, this would be a good time to get a new TV stand as well.... Lo and behold the price dropped and "only 2 in stock" of the Light Walnut I had sought after for so long. This was the perfect colour and matched everything right to my ceiling fan. I love these digital fireplaces. I loved the fact that you could program and change the colours. Since it's not been very cold, I have not used this as a fireplace much. I have only used it as a "lightshow". However, one very cold evening 2 weeks ago, after only having this put together for 2-3 weeks, we started smelling something burning and couldn't figure out where it was but we were running around frantically looking when it became painfully obvious as my wall suddenly turned black from the floor to the ceiling where the fireplace was plugged in. There was nothing else in this outlet except my speakers. The TV was on another outlet as this was towards the corner in my living room and I don't plug all heavy appliances into one outlet and I use brand name surge protectors. But this thing was no match for my surge protectors, to which have protected me when lightning struck - but not this beast! I quickly flipped the breaker obviously and we had to strip the outlet, electrical and wall. When we examined it the next morning, the plug was melted at the back of the unit where it connects to the fireplace all the way to the socket. In literally a matter of 2 hours max. Did anyone pay for this damage? NOPE. Do not be fooled by the warranty, all they did was refund me and nothing more. I am so disappointed and heartbroken, and apparently stupid because I almost bought another one...But I just couldn't bring myself to pay double what I did in the first place just because it was so beautiful. Like others have mentioned it’s a pain to put together especially if you do it wrong the first attempt. We got to where top needed to go on and realized it was in reverse. My husband has lots of tools so he was able to get the can locks out! Once - after two attempts a couple hours each time it was together we love it! It’s very well built - works great and we love it in our living room. We have our TV hanging up high so it’s not on it. But I love that I have a place for my router and wires are off my floor. It is so much nicer than what was currently there. I would buy again and recommend! ... show more

It looks nice when done. Some parts were mislabeled, extremely heavy, easily scratched when screwing in parts plus some already knicks before I started, screwing in the top took some effort, the crystals should have been labeled to put inside the heater before it was screwed in *I had to take the unit out and then rescrew it back in*, for some reason I thought the flames were going to be blue but they weren’t, and definitely not enough glue included. Not too difficult to put together by myself just follow the directions. Held up almost a year with no issues. Had to move it about 10 feet for redesign, no problem.
