I ordered 3 new dog beds. 2 Large, and one XL from different sellers/vendors. All three beds are almost exactly the same. So, I based the purchases on best price and/or coupons available. The removable covers are almost exactly the same on each dog bed from the different manufacturers, or I should say: different sellers. They are all orthopedic egg crate beds. My other 2 from different vendors are very nice, with thickness as described. 3" in large, and 4 inches on XL this one fails the thickness test. This particular dog bed never did expand very much if at all from the original unpacked thickness. I can compare it to the other vendor's product, which expanded very nicely as stated it would, to a thickness of 3 inches and I think a bit more. This bed is much thinner, and not near 3 inches. I've given it 3 1/2 days to expand. It still has not expanded as it should have. This orthopedic dog bed is too thin to be of any benefit to a dog requiring medical orthopedic support. Our puppy is rough on the bed. He scratches it and bites it where he’s yanking it around. But it still looks great and holding up! I was very impressed since he was very aggressive with it. It popped up and became full within the 24 hours (less than) just like the package said and is super comfortable for him. Highly recommend. The only thing I wish it had was a little bit more slide resistance on the bottom since he’s a nut and runs onto it fast and rams into things. ... show more

We have tile floors and my biggest pet peeve is the bed doesn't stay put. I do not think it will last an insanely long time, but it's better quality than others I've had in the past. Keep in mind my dog is a 65lb Dalmatian with a ton of energy. He's chewed on it a couple times, but been yelled at immediately and it does have some small fraying from that. I haven't had to wash it since my dog is pretty clean, but I don't think it would hold up in my washer/dryer. I would guess after a few washes it would need to be tossed. My dog loves this bed. Particularly eating it. She has eaten this bed multiple times. It is easy to assemble. Very soft cover and padding. My dog suffers from arthritis and she’s not as stiff when she uses this bed. She used to go through beds like crazy this bed has held up to her claws and rough horse play. Easy to clean and wash. However don’t put the cover in the dryer line dry it.

I honestly realized like this product. The cover was super easy to take off. I have a puppy so that aspect was super appealing. The pee didn’t leak through to the inside at all. My only complaint is that on the 2nd or 3rd wash the seam ripped. And got shredded on the side. My puppy did chew on it a bit but I don’t think it compromised it enough to rip like this. ... show more

I previously reviewed this product and stated that the item was not ideal for a large dog as the picture in the ad depicted. We have a 75 lb Airedale Terrier and he was unable to stretch out on the product. Unsolicited, the vender responded to my dissatisfaction offering to refund the expenditure which I am accepting although it wasn't something that I pursued. To me this demonstrates excellent customer service initiating my satisfaction. This product would be ideal for a small to medium sized dog. Beds are fine, just not as thick as I expected. Maybe the thickness was listed and I missed it? I'm sure the dogs won't care. One has arthritis in his hip/leg joint so I was hoping for a softer, thicker bed.
