I bought this awning after reading other reviews that said they're had withstood a hurricane. When I got it I wasn't expecting much because the arms are made of plastic but I was pleasantly surprised at how well engineered they are.My suggestion and what I had to do when installing it is put packing tape on the joints to hold it together until you can get it up.Its hard to keep the two sides from coming off of the clear sheet.The tape keeps it all together until you can get screws in to hold It onto the house,The instructions dont give you any idea how it's supposed to mount on the house.Other than those minor issues it's great so far.ai paid for expedited shipping and it came lightning fast.If I need another one someday I'll look for one of these first. ... show more

The awning was difficult to assemble in the cold weather. I ended up spraying the components with silicone. It was exactly what was needed and will hopefully prove durable enough. It replaced a tattered canvas awning and was a great upgrade!

This awning looked perfect for my side door to keep the Sun out of my kitchen from the glass door but it was very difficult to put together it's got cardboard between the two pieces of plastic you need a mallet to hammer it together at the top so it'll stay screws did not fit in on one side and bottom and you need a special tool to screw the awning into your home. ... show more
