Ok, the bench is not bad, but I’m glad my husband is handy. First the nuts were too big for the bolts, then not all the holes were drilled into the seat and backs. We bought new bolts with the correct size nuts and drilled the missing holes. The directions were awful, I would not purchase this if you don’t own a drill press. I wanted a traditional-looking tree bench for the back yard of my historic house. This is perfect. It is made of a solid metal of substantial weight and it appears stable enough to hold six or more adults of considerable size. The proportions are very generous: the seat is about 14 inches deep, which is a comfortable length even for a tall person. I am uploading a photo so you can see its relative size. The tree in this photo is about 15 years old, and the trunk is about 20 inches in circumference at its narrowest part. As you can see, there's plenty of room for the tree to grow. The photo doesn't really do the color justice: it's a gorgeous burnished bronze shade that gleams with subtle hints of gold and copper in the sun. 2017 update: This bench has now stood in my yard through an entire year of Indiana's worst weather: punishing heat, hard freezes, heavy snows, spring monsoons. It still looks brand-new. It gets used a lot: for my morning tea, for resting while I do yard work, for star-gazing. When visitors come, it's one of the first things they want to "try out." And just a quick note about the metal: It's textured in such a way to make it always a comfortable temperature for sitting, even when it's been in the blazing sun all day. Pros - came early and is sturdy. Cons- Came with an extra leg and was missing pre drilled holes on one back piece. Multiple pieces don’t line up well leaving fairly significant gaps between pieces. I’m going to have to drill additional holes just to get it fully assembled however it doesn’t seem like the gaps in the bench portion are going to get closed up for a clean look.
