This mini fridge is great to keep at a desk either at home or at work to have cold drinks on hand (I have not used the warm setting before). It takes a bit of time to cool down the drinks, but works great for keeping drinks cold. I like to keep one at my work desk to keep drinks cold to drink or cold while I am still drinking them so they do not get to room temp. I have also used it to keep my food items cold, which it works well to keep small items cold as well. The design and look are simple and easy to personalize if you add some stickers if preferred. This is really a mini-mini fridge that can probably holds up to 6 cans. It does keep them nice and cold. It doesn't hold too much after that. It's cute that can comes in different colors. I haven't use much of the heating function but I suppose it would work for anyone.

I can recommend this product for storing drinks that you wish to keep cool, and in a setting where you have access to AC power, like a wall outlet. The cooling power (and heating power, too) is diminished somewhat if you opt for the 12V power source instead. This is according to the product's documentation. It's also recommended you do not run the DC power in a car when its engine is not running. That could quickly drain the vehicle's battery. While testing the mini-fridge, I only used the AC cord plugged into a wall outlet. I was able to place four 16-oz plastic bottles in the fridge by taking out the divider which would normally accommodate eight 12-oz cans. I used a laser thermometer to measure the temperature of the bottles after several hours in the fridge. The bottles in the front registered 41 degrees Fahrenheit, while the bottles in the back (near the cooling unit) registered 33 degrees. This was fairly comparable to the 35 degrees those same bottles registered in my full-sized kitchen refrigerator. The 12-volt DC option might be useful on a long day of driving, but probably won't yield any better results than a couple of ice packs in a decent cooler. I feel this is best suited as a mini fridge for a room where one has access to standard 120V electricity. UPDATE: I did get around to testing the heating feature on this device. Starting with a glass of hot tap water at 115 degrees Fahrenheit, I placed the glass inside with heat running for over an hour. When I checked the temperature again, it was still at 115. While this feature is useless to me personally, this information might help others who are interested in using it. ... show more

I ordered this NXONE Mini Fridge mainly to have a way to transport insulin while traveling and with a nice added bonus of the cooler being so deep that I can also place drinks and snacks inside along with the insulin. I love that I can place this cooler right next to my computer table or take it on trips in the car, and power cables for both uses are provided with the cooler, you just have to remember to switch the AC/DC switch on the back depending on how you are using it. The cooler runs almost silent and is well built and looks great. The cooler comes with 1 shelf, and it can be placed in 1 of 2 locations, high or low depending on what you are trying to fit into the mini fridge. The cooler can also be switched to heat to either keep food warm or warm up cold food if needed. So, the cooler has a built-in handle to carry it, and the door closes magnetically, but does not have any other way to secure the door from opening while carrying it. my goal is to never have to use the refrigerator at my workplace with all its weird smells and forgotten science experiments. This little device will help me achieve my goal. you can choose between hot or cold which was a surprise--i didn't know that it could keep things hot too. plug this bad boy in and stick your lunch in and you'll have a nice chilled meal when you're ready. i tried it out and it works! i also tried the heating function. it's not going to be oven or microwave hot but if you want to keep your tea warm while you are interrupted at your desk, you can stick the cup in and close the door. it heats up nicely! the directions caution you to wait to switch from hot to cold or from cold to hot until it has been off for a while and has had time to get back to room temp. it isn't huge so you won't be able to put plates in but a mug or small food container would fit just fine. if using the heating setting, i wouldn't leave your food in a plastic container. it does get hot in there--probably not hot enough to melt it but hot enough to have that funky plastic taste infiltrate the food. i'll get some photos of the size of containers that will fit nicely and add to my review. ... show more

I got this fridge for my 4 year old toddler because we wanted to make it easier to be more independent and put away their juice or milk themselves when they're done as well as be able to access healthy snacks after asking. We also hold that this will keep them from opening the big fridge looking for things like drinks and snacks... This little fridge is perfect for that. We're able to fit most of the toddler cups in there and there is room at the top for small containers holding baby carrots, cut fruit or other snacks. I found that the thin white shelf on the door can hold 1-2 of the fruit pouches too. So far my toddler can easily open and close the door, loves this and is using it well. Update: after using this fridge for a couple of weeks, I will note that some condensation does develop inside and I've found little puddles of water inside the fridge which I've had to wipe up about once a week, this is the reason I've removed one star. ... show more
