  • Quality and Power
First off, this thing has a huge magnet. It has the best sound quality of any sub I've heard so far and me and my friends have had NVX, sundown, soundqubed, FI, kicker, RE audio, ect. This is an amazing sub especially for this price. I would pay $300 for it. The cone and surround is really thick and beefy, giving it tons of deep bass and more throw. The surround is strong enough to support the full weight of the sub by two fingers and the nylon stitching looks great as well! Currently only have one, but plan to get two out in a 6th order box running off a hifonics BRX 2400. The 2400 has plenty of power for this sub and rattles my windshield and everything! You will not find a sub with all of the following: Very high quality, RMS power output, durability and overall performance for $200 anywhere else. Get one or two of these and thump like crazy! Ps the speaker wire is knukonceptz 10 Gauge and fits perfectly. Great OFC speaker wire for these subs. Box is a Q Bomb single 12" square port (temporary). One thing that I've noticed, and others have said, is that a kick drum (or similar sounds) aren't quite as punchy through this sub compared to some others, such as sundown SA's. The reason for this is that this sub has a fairly hefty and heavy cone, which can take a toll on the sub's responsiveness to kick drums and rapid, repetitive bass notes. Sundown SA's, and other subs with lighter cones have a quicker response time to fast, repetitive notes, and therefore can sound more "punchy". It's not a huge deal though, because it isn't easily noticed unless you really, really pay attention to what you're hearing and closely compare this sub with others. This is an incredible subwoofer, and if you need that really tight, punchy bass, go with the 10" version and you're set. The punchiness of your sub is more dependant on the type of enclosure it's in as well as its characteristics. Find the best enclosure type and size for the sound you're trying to get, and you've got a killer setup. ... show more

  • Very clean sound at 400w rms
Size: 12" Dual 4-Ohm
I bought this to replace a kicker compr 2 ohm dvc and as the pictures show this unit is much beefier. The sound quality blows the kicker away and even at first listen the bass coming out of it is super clean and authoritative compared to the old kicker which is muddy in comparison. I run a sealed box as I listen to metal, rock, country and classical/new age and its fast enough to keep pace with the rhythm without distorting. I'm hoping that as it breaks in that the sound will only improve. I'm using Infinity 3032 coaxes in the dash and JBL GTO939's in the front doors. I also have a pair of JBL GTO 629's on order for the rear doors to replace my current massive audio 3 way's. The NVX fits in nicely and complements the sound making it exactly what I was looking for. If you want to vibrate your license plate off the car you might want to look elsewhere. This is my first NVX speaker and I'm glad that I took a chance on it. I'm running one of their Belva lined sub boxes and it has been great. Never going back to kicker for speakers, however, I still love their amps and am running a 5 channel kx. Only you can decide whether or not you should buy it. ... show more

  • When setup properly these subs are top tier performers!
Size: 15" Dual 4-Ohm
I've setup and built hundreds of systems over the last 30 years and these rank up there with the best subwoofers I've worked with. They are well built with premium materials and perform well especially for the money. I can't think of another sub that can outperform them for the price. Highly recommend this subwoofer. In regards to the negative reviews, just remember that a majority of those are due to improper setups or from plain stupidity. These are great subs at a fraction of the price of other equivalent brands. ... show more

  • Deep lows
Size: 15" Dual 2-Ohm
Highly underrated. For a $200 sub you can't beat it. The lows are outstanding. The trade off is you won't get much in the higher bass notes. For me that's okay considering most bass I like is in the 30hz-45hz range. This sub is perfect for that. Midbass notes carry well but the higher the note the less prominent it is. Still for $200 it's definitely worth the money. I have 1 15" in a sealed box. I've paired it with a Memphis prxa 1000.1. I always run my system a little less than rms but the Amp and sub play very well together. Would recommend to anyone wanting flex on lows. ... show more

  • 10in but it isnt
Size: 10" Dual 4-Ohm
Probably just me, but I would think a 10in woofer would fit in a 10in box. I guess not. I wanted to build a mean little system, but it was not meant to be. Using a Fosi stereo amp (home audio) this was bumpin in free air. In the right enclosure and the right space, this thing is a bass monster.

  • Look at the low Fs!
Size: 10" Dual 2-Ohm
I am using this 10D2 in a PR setup and am very pleased. The LOW Fs is insane at this price point. Beefy triple stack magnet. I am only running this off of a 700 WRMS mono amp, so no issues with my light work. 100% would buy again.

  • Would not buy again
Size: 12" Dual 4-Ohm
I bought 2 of these for a dual 12 separate chamber ported box, 1.7 cubic feet per side. I had to return one right out of box because I noticed the surround was not glued correctly. They sent me a replacement subwoofer no problem. I installed them and after about a week after I got them, one was bottoming out. They got loud but not as loud as my previous skar EVL 12's. now 4 months later that they are broken in I can't even get loud anymore. The problem sub is bottoming out really badly, it only sounds good with lower volume levels. I'm pretty disappointed I called NVX customer service they said since I bought them off of amazon I have to contact the seller to get my item replaced. I guess forget the one year warranty I'll never buy NVX again! I have a alpine ilx 507 headunit, taramps smart 3k, knukoncepts krystal RCA cables, with their 0 gauge ofc from hood to trunk and a second 100 amp hour agm battery. This amp has a clip indicator and I do not let it clip, nor does the voltage drop below 14. very disappointed and out 400 dollars ... show more
