I remember hearinga bout nutrafol before for hair growth. My husband has very thinning hair, and I thought he would like to use this. However, I opened it and the smell was so good that I wanted to use it too. I also like 2 in 1 products because sometimes my hair is oily and on those days I avoid deep conditioning. I emailed the company to ask about this product for growing hair and also if I could use it too. Here is what they said -- ''Our scalp care formulas will not grow your hair. Our physician-formulated hair care products were designed with clean ingredients to support thinning hair and scalp health. We recommend using them with our Hair Growth Nutraceuticals to visibly improve volume and texture while supporting hair health from within. We recommend washing your hair frequently as dirt, pollution, dust particles, and styling products can clog pores and throw off the balance of your scalp microbiome. Active Cleanse is gentle enough to be used daily. Yes, women can use Active Cleanse. While Active Cleanse is formulated for the bio-specific needs of men’s scalps, it is suitable for anyone looking for a thorough cleansing and light conditioning experience. Keep in mind that everyone’s hair needs are different based on factors such as length, texture, and personal preferences, so it’s important to find what works best for you.'' I used the product and really liked the smell. It smells like lemon or lemongrass. I found that it cleaned the hair pretty well without over drying or over moisturizing. I appreciate that it is sulfate free. That being said, you should know that this won't lather like other shampoos which is actually a good thing, and better for your hair. I feel like the value doesn't entirely match what you get. It is a nice product, but it is a fairly small bottle. Again, I am a woman saying this and I know it wasn't intended for ME, but that is my opinion. Also, I don't really like the way it dispenses. There is a little hole in the top and you pull up to open it. I can see that this feature is going to clog and not work well forever. ... show more
