I got this binder for a class where I was going to be working in my lap. To make room for more students in the class they decided to set up the room with just chairs and no tables. There are handouts at each lecture, conveniently 3 hole punched and two accompanying books. With all that going on, I wanted to be able to fold my binder back on itself to be half as wide as a regular open binder and this is what I found. It really helps! I did not need to dividers and what not that came inside, maybe they add a bit to the price? The binder rings have an unusual way of opening that is way towards the right bottom. I would be happier if they opened more in the middle so it was easy to keep papers on both sides and not worry about stuff coming out while the rings are open in my lap. Furthermore, I would be happier if there were a mechanism that opened and closed all 3 rings at once. The plastic ring mechanism here does not seem likely to last long, but that remains to be seen. I bought a red one that I love for myself and a black one that is more my husband's style, as we are taking the class together. ... show more
